An Inverse Problem for Maxwell's Equations in Bi-isotropic Media

چکیده
In this paper, we consider Maxwell’s equations in a biisotropic and inhomogeneous medium. We discuss an inverse problem of determining the coefficients , ζ, μ in the constitutive relations from a finite number of interior measurements. The proof is done by a H−1−Carleman estimate.

An Inverse Problem for Maxwell's Equations in Anisotropic Media an Inverse Problem for Maxwell's Equations in Anisotropic Media
We consider Maxwell’s equations for an isomagnetic anisotropic, non-stationary and inhomogeneous medium in two dimensions. We discuss an inverse problem of determining the permittivity tensor ε1 ε2 ε2 ε3 and the permeability μ in the constitutive relations from a finite number of lateral boundary measurements. Applying a Carleman estimate, we prove an estimate of the Lipschitz type for ...
متن کاملWave Equations in Transversely Isotropic Media in Terms of Potential Functions (RESEARCH NOTE)
A complete series of potential functions for solving the wave equations in an almost transversely isotropic media is presented. The potential functions are reduced to only one potential function particularly for axisymmetric wave propagation problems. The potential functions presented in this paper can be reduced to Lekhnitskii-Hu-Nowacki solution for elastostatics problems.
متن کاملElliptic Regularity Theory Applied to Time Harmonic Anisotropic Maxwell's Equations with Less than Lipschitz Complex Coefficients
Elliptic regularity theory applied to time harmonic anisotropic Maxwell's equations with less than Lipschitz complex coefficients The focus of this paper is the study of the regularity properties of the time harmonic Maxwell's equations with anisotropic complex coefficients, in a bounded domain with C 2,1 boundary. We assume that at least one of the material parameters is W 1,3+δ for some δ > 0...
متن کاملThe inverse scattering problem for orthotropic media in polarization-sensitive optical coherence tomography
In this paper we provide for a first time, to our knowledge, a mathematical model for imaging an anisotropic, orthotropic medium with polarization-sensitive optical coherence tomography. The imaging problem is formulated as an inverse scattering problem in three dimensions for reconstructing the electrical susceptibility of the medium using Maxwell's equations. Our reconstruction method is base...
متن کاملCircuit Modeling of General Hybrid Uniform Waveguide Structures in Chiral Anisotropic Inhomogeneous Media
A new generalized high-frequency transmission line model is presented for general uniform hybrid waveguide structures consisting of inhomogeneous isotropic or anisotropic media. Starting from Maxwell's equations, the generalized coupled telegrapher's equations are found and the frequency-dependent transmission line parameter matrices R(~o), G(w), L(c0), and C(w) are defined in an unambiguous wa...
