چکیده
We address via numerical simulation the two-dimensional bimolecular annihilation reaction A+A → ∅ in the presence of quenched, random impurities. Renormalization group calculations have suggested that this reaction displays anomalous kinetics at long times, cA(t) ∼ atδ−1, for certain types of topological or charged reactants and impurities. Both the exponent and the prefactor depend on the strength of disorder. The decay exponents determined from our simulations agree well with the values predicted by theory. The observed renormalization of the prefactor also agrees well with the values predicted by theory.

متن کاملNumerical Study of Blast Initiation of Detonation Using a Two Step Chemical Kinetics Model
The effect of chemical reactions on the blast initiation of detonation in gaseous media has been investigated in this paper. Analytical method is based on the numerical solution of onedimensional reactive Euler equations. So far, analyses on the blast initiation of detonation have modeled the combustion process as a one-step chemical reaction, which follows the Arrhenius rate law. Previous stud...

The calculation of next-to-leading log x corrections to the BFKL equation was completed last year [ 1, 2] after several years of theoretical effort. The results, for both anomalous dimension and hard Pomeron, show however signs of instability due to both the size and the (negative) sign of corrections, possibly leading to problems with positivity also [ 3]. If we write the eigenvalue equation c...
