Indirection Free Referencing for Mobile Components

چکیده
Process or object migration is a usefull technique for load balancing and dynamic reconnguration. This paper presents a new algorithm to preserve communication links in case of migration. The migration cost is higher than in existing algorithms but, in return, it leaves no residual dependencies and does not add any performance overhead over synchronous, asynchronous and stream-based communications. This algorithm is therefore well adapted to reconngure distributed applications (migrations are rare, and normal communications must be optimized).
