Temporal Analysis and Object-Oriented Real-Time Software Development: a Case Study with ROOM/ObjecTi - Real-Time Technology and Applications Symposium, 1996. Proceedings., 1996 IEEE

چکیده

New generation methodologies and CASE tools are making possible increasing “automation” b y addressing software development i n terms of executable models. I n this paper, we describe one such methodology, R O O M , along with i ts CASE tool, ObjecTime, f o r which syst ems are modelled in terms o f hierarchically organised communicating objects whose behavior is defined in terms of finite state machines. In particular, we present the results of a Rate Monotonzc Analysis inspired temporal analysis which makes evident some o f the runtime limitations associated with R O O M semantics and the way i n which the R O O M model is cast as an executable for the intended e m b e d d e d platform.
