چکیده

Cy tok ines a re ma jo r con t r ibu to r s in pa thogenes i s o f p re eclampsia. Serum TNF-α was determined in 10 normal and 30 pre-eclamptic pregnant females with special reference to maternal age, parity and levels of mean ar ter ia l b lood pressure . TNF-α was determined us ing sandwich ELISA techn ique . Se rum TNF-α l eve l in normal p regnan t f emales was 9 .3 ± 0 .56 pg /ml , whi le in p re -ec lampt ic p regnan t f emales i t was 67.66 ± 61.83 pg/ml. This increase TNF-α was highly significant (P<0.001). There was no significant changes in serum TNF-α with respect to maternal age, par i ty and mean ar ter ia l pressure in both normal and pre-eclamptic p regnanc i e s .

Tumor Necrosis Factor-α and Interleukin-1- β Polymorphisms in Pre-Eclampsia

Background: Pre-eclampsia is the most common critical condition during pregnancy. Plasma concentrations of tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) and interleukin-1-beta (IL-1β) increase in pregnant women with pre-eclampsia, compared to normal pregnant women. Objective: To investigate the polymorphisms of IL-1β (C+3954T), TNF-α (G- 308A), and (G-238A) in preeclemptic women northeastern Iran. Me...

Association of single nucleotide polymorphisms in the human tumor necrosis factor-α and interleukin 1-β genes in patients with pre-eclampsia.

Pre-eclampsia is a pregnancy-specific syndrome that may be dangerous especially to the fetus. Different cytokines have been found to be elevated in women with pre-eclampsia and may have possible roles in the development of this disorder. Alleles of the interleukin-l-beta (IL-lβ) and tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α) genes are associated with pr-eeclampsia in several studies in different popul...

First-trimester maternal serum tumor necrosis factor receptor-1 and pre-eclampsia.

OBJECTIVES To examine whether the maternal serum concentration of the soluble receptor-1 of tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-R1) at 11-13 weeks of gestation in pregnancies that subsequently develop pre-eclampsia is different from that in women without this complication. METHODS The concentration of TNF-R1 at 11 + 0 to 13 + 6 weeks was measured in samples from 128 cases that subsequently devel...

Evaluation of Brain Natriuretic Peptide, Tumor Necrosis Factor and Interleukin-6 Plasma Levels in Infants and Children with Congenital Heart Disease

Background Congenital heart disease (CHD) is the most common cause of major congenital birth defect. The aim of this study was to investigate the association of CHD with serum levels of Tumor necrosis factor-α (TNFα), Interleukin 6 (IL-6), and B-type Natriuretic Peptide (BNP) in infant and children. Materials and Methods The present study was conducted in Heshmat heart hospital and 17 Shahrivar...
