A Semantic Addressable Network

چکیده
P2P networks were invented with the idea of sharing resources available on the Internet. Their advantages include robustness in failures, extensive resource-sharing, self-organization, load balancing, data persistence, anonymity, etc. Today structured P2P networks are beginning to become more important because they make subsequent queries more efficient and in an internet like scale, query response time is very important. There are two main types of structured overlays: Distributed Hash Table based (DHT) and non-DHT based networks. HyperCup is an example of a non-DHT based structured overlay which is a symmetric overlay based on hypercubes. It has some problems in scalability from the network traffic point of view. DHT-based systems such as Content Addressable Network (CAN) have received a lot of attention and a lot of research has been done on them but still have a few problems, for example the lost indexing problem in CAN. Each of these two types also has its own advantages. In this paper we present a Semantic Addressable Network (SAN) which is a combination of both types. We will focus on CAN and HyperCup. We group nodes in communities based on their main domain ontology concept. SAN helps solve the following problems: semantic unawareness, unnecessary traffic caused by common broadcast methods, and the lost indexing problem in CAN.

Semantic Addressable Encoding
This paper presents an automatic acquisition process to acquire the semantic meaning for the words. This process obtains the representation vectors for stemmed words by iteratively improving the vectors, using a trained Elman network [4]. Experiments performed on a corpus composed of Shakespeare’s writings show its linguistic analysis and categorization abilities.
متن کاملAn attractor neural network model of semantic fact retrieval
This paper presents an attractor neural network model of semantic fact retrieval , based on Collins and Quillian's original semantic network models. In the context of modeling a semantic network, a distinction is made between associations linking together objects belonging to hierarchically-related semantic classes, and associations linking together objects and their attributes. Using a distrib...
متن کاملAdaptive Semantic Indexing Of Documents For Locating Relevant Information In P2P Networks
Locating relevant information in Peer-to-Peer (P2P) system is a challenging problem. Conventional approaches use flooding to locate the content. It is no longer applicable due to massive information available upfront in the P2P systems. Sometime, it may not be even possible to return small percent of relevant content for a search if it is an unpopular content. In this paper, we present adaptive...
متن کاملThe Symbiosis of Human and Semantic Technology Through the Lens of Actor-Network Theory
Background: Semantic technologies (STs) have made machine reasoning possible by providing intelligent data management methods. This capability has created new forms of interaction between humans and STs, which is called "semantic interaction." The increasing spread of this form of interaction in daily life reveals the need to identify the factors affecting it and introduce the requirements of...
متن کاملRevisiting and Simplifying RDF
RDF, a simple yet expressive data model, is widely recognised as the foundation for the Semantic Web. We revisit the RDF specification and analyse five problems: literals are not addressable, blank nodes are not addressable, reification is not semantically recognised, language tags are not addressable, and language tags can not be combined. We introduce SiRDF, a simplified data model with fewer...
