چکیده
This paper describes a way to transform basic robotic platforms into Web remotely controllable robots. Our goal is to achieve robot deployment anywhere at anytime at low-cost. As soon as full or even restricted Internet access is available (WIFI or 3G), the robot can be deployed and Webcontrolled. The distant user can send commands to the robot and monitor the state of the robot. For example the distant user can make the robot move and get snapshots taken by the robot. Keywords-Ubiquitous robot; Web control; service robotics;

A Large-Scale Networked Robotic Musical Instrument Installation
This paper describes an installation created by LEMUR (League of Electronic Musical Urban Robots) in January, 2005. The installation included over 30 robotic musical instruments and a multi-projector real-time video projection and was controllable and programmable over a MIDI network. The installation was also controllable remotely via the Internet and could be heard and viewed via room mics an...
متن کاملDual Space Control of a Deployable Cable Driven Robot: Wave Based Approach
Known for their lower costs and numerous applications, cable robots are an attractive research field in robotic community. However, considering the fact that they require an accurate installation procedure and calibration routine, they have not yet found their true place in real-world applications. This paper aims to propose a new controller strategy that requires no meticulous calibration and ...
متن کاملInterval Analysis of Controllable Workspace for Cable Robots
Workspace analysis is one of the most important issues in the robotic parallel manipulator design. However, the unidirectional constraint imposed by cables causes this analysis more challenging in the cabledriven redundant parallel manipulators. Controllable workspace is one of the general workspace in the cabledriven redundant parallel manipulators due to the dependency on geometry parameter...
متن کاملDLR's Advanced Telerobotic Concepts and Experiments for On-Orbit Servicing
Space robotics will become a key technology for the exploration of outer space and the operation and maintenance of space stations, satellites and other platforms, saving costs and relieving man from dangerous tasks. But we do not have to wait until robots are really autonomous or intelligent, since by modern tele-operation and tele-presence we are able to remotely control robot systems from th...
متن کاملAre Autonomous Mobile Robots Able to Take Over Construction? A Review
Although construction has been known as a highly complex application field for autonomous robotic systems, recent advances in this field offer great hope for using robotic capabilities to develop automated construction. Today, space research agencies seek to build infrastructures without human intervention, and construction companies look to robots with the potential to improve construction qua...
