چکیده
Keyword: Difference equation Non-monotone argument Retarded argument Oscillatory solutions Nonoscillatory solutions Consider the first-order retarded difference equation DxðnÞ þ pðnÞx sðnÞ ð Þ 1⁄4 0; n 2 N0 where ðpðnÞÞnP0 is a sequence of nonnegative real numbers, and ðsðnÞÞnP0 is a sequence of integers such that sðnÞ 6 n 1, n P 0; and limn!1 sðnÞ 1⁄4 1. Under the assumption that the retarded argument is non-monotone, a new oscillation criterion, involving lim inf, is established. An example illustrates the case when the result of the paper implies oscillation while previously known results fail. 2015 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.

Numerical Oscillations of Runge-Kutta Methods for Differential Equations with Piecewise Constant Arguments of Alternately Advanced and Retarded Type
The purpose of this paper is to study the numerical oscillations of Runge-Kutta methods for the solution of alternately advanced and retarded differential equations with piecewise constant arguments. The conditions of oscillations for the Runge-Kutta methods are obtained. It is proven that the Runge-Kutta methods preserve the oscillations of the analytic solution. In addition, the relationship ...
متن کاملOscillations in a Linear System of Differential-Difference Equations of Arbitrary Order
There exists an extensive amount of literature dealing with oscillations in scalar differential equations of first and higher order with and without deviating arguments and we refer to Kartsatos [4] for a survey of the work done in this area. However, almost no attention has been paid for studying oscillations in systems (non-scalar) of differential equations with deviating arguments. The purpo...
متن کاملOscillation of Second Order Nonlinear Impulsive Differential Equations with Deviating Arguments
In this paper, we present some new sufficient conditions for the oscillations of all solutions of a second order retarded differential equations with impulses. These results extend the known results for the differential equations without impulses. An example is provided to illustrate our result.
متن کاملExistence of Non-oscillatory Solutions for Nonlinear Differential Equations with Distributed Delays and M-order Linear Operators with Variable Coefficients
This article concerns the existence of non-oscillatory solutions for non-linear, nonhomogeneous differential equations. In these equations, the unknown function depends on distributed arguments that can be retarded or advanced and have variable delays. Using contraction mappings, we show the existence of solutions, and estimate their norms. Then our results are extended to dynamic equations on ...
متن کاملOn Efficiency of Non-Monotone Adaptive Trust Region and Scaled Trust Region Methods in Solving Nonlinear Systems of Equations
In this paper we run two important methods for solving some well-known problems and make a comparison on their performance and efficiency in solving nonlinear systems of equations. One of these methods is a non-monotone adaptive trust region strategy and another one is a scaled trust region approach. Each of methods showed fast convergence in special problems and slow convergence in other o...
