Vision-Based Animation of Digital Humans
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper presents a system for animating customized virtual humans using motion parameters estimated from multi-view image sequences. The advantage of our method is that the subject does not have to wear markers or other devices. We offer a detailed analysis of the singularities that might arise during tracking humans using multiple cameras and we provide an analysis of the criteria that allow the ordering of the cameras that provide the most information for tracking. We demonstrate our system using image sequences requiring the recovery of complex threedimensional motions in the presence of significant occlusion, and we present a quantitative analysis of the accuracy of the estimated motion parameters.

The Study of Education Based on Animation in Patient’s Performance under Hemodialysis in Emergency Evacuation Selected Hospitals of Aja
Introduction: A disaster evacuation program is one of the most important parts of hospital crisis management. The following study was carried out to determine the effects of animation-based teaching on hemodialysis patients’ performance in an emergency evacuation. Material and Method: In this quasi-experimental study, two out of four AJA Hospitals in Tehran that had hemodialysis wards, were sel...
متن کاملUsing computer vision to simulate the motion of virtual agents
In this paper, we propose a new model to simulate the movement of virtual humans based on trajectories captured automatically from filmed video sequences. These trajectories are grouped into similar classes using an unsupervised clustering algorithm, and an extrapolated velocity field is generated for each class. A physically-based simulator is then used to animate virtual humans, aiming to rep...
متن کاملVirtual and Real Humans Interacting in the Virtual World
In this paper, we discuss the role of digital actors in Virtual Environments. We describe the integration of motion control techniques with autonomy based on synthetic sensors. In particular, we emphasize the synthetic vision, audition and tactile system. We also discuss how to introduce the sensors of real humans in the Virtual Space in order to have a communication between digital actors and ...
متن کاملDeveloping EFL Learners' Oral Proficiency through Animation-based Instruction of English Formulaic Sequences
The current pretest-posttest quasi-experimental study attempts, firstly, to probe the effects of teaching formulaic sequences (FSs) on the second or foreign language (L2) learners' oral proficiency improvement and secondly, to examine whether teaching FSs through different resources (i.e. animation vs. text-based readings) have any differentially influential effects in augmenting L2 l...
متن کاملAnimation 2000++
In the next millennium, computer animation will be both the same as now and also very different. Animators will always have tools that allow specifying and controlling through manual interactive interfaces every nuance of shape, movement, and parameter settings. But whether for skilled animators or novices, the future of animation will present a fantastically expanded palette of possibilities: ...
