The present study investigated the effect of colchicine and trimethylcolchicinic acid on liver fibrosis induced by common bile duct ligation in albino rats. Bile duct ligated rats showed cirrhosis where liver architecture completely distorted with diffused fibrosis and generation of abnormal nodules.
