Relationship Between physical Activity and Mood Disorders During Covid-19 Quarantine in Racket's Athletes

Introduction: covid-19 and quarantine and related government restrictions have affected many aspects of human life, including physical activity and mood disorders.the present study aimed to investigate Physical activity and mental disorders during general quarantine during the coronavirus outbreak. Methods: This research is a descriptive research in terms of data collection. A total of 196 people (123 males and 73 females) wer selected as samples through social media. PA levels were measured by inquiring about the type, frequency and intensity of exercise (from low to very high) pre and during the COVID-19 pandemic. To evaluate of positive and negative mood states we used shortened version of Brunel Mood Scale (BRUMS) .Chi-square tests and one-way analysis of variance (p <0.05) were used to assess mood in different situations. Data were analyzed using SPSS software version 22. Results: The results showed that gender has significant effects on changes in physical activity in women compared to men. And women's community adhered to quarantine more than men (p=001). Also, there is a negative and significant relationship between different moods and changes in the intensity of exercise due to corona (p=001). Conclusion: Exercise has a positive effect on positive moods. However, the intensity of exercise compared to the duration of exercise can affect the mood more. In fact, the more intense the exercise, the more negative moods it will have.
