Mitotic chromosomes of 13 species from four sections (Cracca, Ervillia, Ervum and Variegata) of the genus Vicia subgenus Vicilla were studied. In a project on the Flora of Iran (Trib.: Ranunculeae), many herbarium specimens of thegenus Ranunculus were studied. The results of this study are a new record and suggestion of a synonym for the Flora of Iran, specimens of which are preserved in the herbarium of Research Institute of Forest & Rangelands (TARI).
