چکیده مقاله:

In this study, SRAP molecular maker approach was performed to investigate genetic diversity in the Salvia genus. A total of 205 DNA bands were produced from PCR amplification of 11 Salvia species and populations using 25 selective primer combinations, of which 204 polymorphic genetic loci accounted. The total number of amplified fragments ranged from 3 to 15. The genetic similarities of 11 collections were estimated from 0.0968 to 0.6949. According to the SRAP marker analysis, S.verticillata2 and S.nemorosa2 had the lowest similarityand the species of S.verticillata2 and S.verticillata3 had the highest similarity. Unweighted pair-group method with arithmetic averages clustering algorithm categorized Salvia species into six major groups. In general, SRAP markers were able to detect high polymorphism among Salvia genotypes. Hence, the technique is regarded as a reliable tool for differentiation of Salvia at inter and intra-species level.

Genetic Diversity and Population Structure of Toona Ciliata Roem. Based on Sequence-Related Amplified Polymorphism (SRAP) Markers

Sequence-related amplified polymorphism (SRAP) markers were used to investigate the genetic diversity among 30 populations of Toona ciliata Roem. sampled from the species’ distribution area in China. To analyze the polymorphism in the SRAP profiles, 1505 primer pairs were screened and 24 selected. A total of 656 SRAP bands ranging from 100 to 1500 bp were acquired, of these 505 bands (77%) were...

Sequence-related amplified polymorphism (SRAP) markers: A potential resource for studies in plant molecular biology1

In the past few decades, many investigations in the field of plant biology have employed selectively neutral, multilocus, dominant markers such as inter-simple sequence repeat (ISSR), random-amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD), and amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) to address hypotheses at lower taxonomic levels. More recently, sequence-related amplified polymorphism (SRAP) markers hav...

Molecular Diversity Assessment Using Sequence Related Amplified Polymorphism (SRAP) Markers in Vicia faba L.

Sequence-related amplified polymorphism (SRAP) markers were used to assess the genetic diversity and relationship among 58 faba bean (Vicia faba L.) genotypes. Fourteen SRAP primer combinations amplified a total of 1036 differently sized well-resolved peaks (fragments), of which all were polymorphic with a 0.96 PIC value and discriminated all of the 58 faba bean genotypes. An average pairwise ...

Analysis of genetic diversity of Tunisian pistachio (Pistacia vera L.) using sequence-related amplified polymorphism (SRAP) markers.

Sequence-related amplified polymorphism (SRAP) markers preferentially amplify open reading frames and were used to study the genetic diversity of Tunisian pistachio. In the present study, 43 Pistacia vera accessions were screened using seven SRAP primer pairs. A total of 78 markers was revealed (95.12%) with an average polymorphic information content of 0.850. The results suggest that there is ...
