چکیده مقاله:

Spontaneous histamine release from isolarted Mastcells was found to be independent of calcium in the concentration range up to 1 m. mole/lit. Phosphatidyl serine do not change the effect of calcium on spontaneous release. The activation of anaphyla.ctic histamine release by calcium is potentiated by phosphatidyl serine but the laitter can't do so w1th strontium.  Mastcells, pretreated with ATP, loose their sensitivity towards compound 48/80 but ithey will find their sensitivity after a while. This spontaneous restoration of Mastcells sensitivity towards 48/80 seems to be an energy - dependent process involving a factor, functioning through some mechanisms in the Mastcells. Such a fa.ctor could be a divalent cation, presented in the Mastcells. Ultimately, pancuronium, should be mentioned, which is said to be histamine releasing stimulant.

Histamine-Releasing Factor and TCTP

IgE-mediated activation of mast cells and basophils underlies allergic diseases such as asthma. Since Thueson et al. first described an activity from cultured peripheral blood mononuclear cells that induced the release of histamine from basophils [1], histamine-releasing activities have been studied for more than 30 years. In addition to several cytokines and chemokines with this activity, an u...

Histamine and Antihistaminic Agents

Histamine is an β–imidazolylethylamine derivative that is present in essentially all mammalian tissues. The major physiological actions of histamine are centered on the cardiovascular system, nonvascular smooth muscle, exocrine glands and the adrenal medulla. In a general sense, histamine plays an important role as a “chemical messenger” component of the various pathways that have evolved in mu...

Histamine-Releasing Factor and Immunoglobulins in Asthma and Allergy

Factors that can induce the release of histamine from basophils have been studied for more than 30 years. A protein termed histamine-releasing factor (HRF) was purified and molecularly cloned in 1995. HRF can stimulate histamine release and IL-4 and IL-13 production from IgE-sensitized basophils and mast cells. HRF-like activities were found in bodily fluids during the late phase of allergic re...

Histamine-releasing activity and bronchoconstricting effects of sisal.

Nicholls, P. J., Evans, E., Valic', F., and ;uskin, E. (1973). British Journal of Industrial Medicine, 30, 142-145. Histamine-releasing activity and bronchoconstricting effects of sisal. Extracts of dry and oiled sisal released histamine from pig and human but not from rat lung tissue. A suspension in Tyrode solution of the oil used for softening the sisal fibres had a pH of 8-1 and also releas...

Comparative study of the membrane-permeabilizing activities of mastoparans and related histamine-releasing agents in bacteria, erythrocytes, and mast cells.

The membrane-permeabilizing activities of mastoparans and related histamine-releasing agents were compared through measurements of K(+) efflux from bacteria, erythrocytes, and mast cells. Changes in bacterial cell viability, hemolysis, and histamine release, as well as in the shape of erythrocytes were also investigated. The compounds tested were mastoparans (HR1, a mastoparan from Polistes jad...

Histamine release by neuromuscular blocking agents.

Histamine release by neuromuscular blocking agents Sir,—The design of the study by Naguib and colleagues [1] on the histamine releasing potencies of various neuromuscular blocking drugs resulted in cardiovascular changes which were profound, adverse and predictable. For example, the data sheet for mivacurium suggests administration over 5–15 s. The authors chose 5 s, despite quoting references ...
