چکیده مقاله:

A classical theory is developed which calculates the momentum transfer rate constant between an ion and a non-polar molecule. The model takes into consideration the effect of diffraction outside the capture limit on the rate constants. The theory is used to calculate momentum transfer rate constant for Cl- with trans-dichloroethylene and para-difluorobenzene. Theoretical results are compared to those predicted by the Langevin model and also with the experimental data. It is shown that the inclusion of diffraction outside the capture limit increases the theoretical momentum transfer rate constants. It is suggested that other potential terms may be important in determining momentum transfer rate constants for these systems.

State-to-state rate constants for collision induced energy transfer of electronically excited NH2 with NH3

Collisional energy transfer of NH2 in its electronically excited state à A1 is investigated with time-resolved Fourier transform emission spectroscopy. NH2 is produced by photodissociation of NH3 and relaxed to low rotational levels before excitation into the electronically excited state. Originating from collisions with NH3 , rate constants for total collisional removal and state-to-state rate...

rate constants for Cl + O 3 1 Rate constants for the reaction of Cl atoms with O 3 at temperatures from 298 to 184 K

Using the standard, low pressure, discharge-flow technique, with resonance fluorescence in the vacuum ultraviolet to observe Cl atoms, rate constants have been determined for the reaction of Cl atoms with O3 at temperatures down to 184 K. The measured rate constants for 298184 K fit the Arrhenius expression: k(T) = (3.6 ± 0.7) × 10 exp(( 310 ± 50 K) / T) cm molecule s. The results extend the d...

SHORT COMMUNICATION Collision Rate Constants for Polarizable Ions

Langevin described a model for the interaction between an ion and a neutral nearly a century ago and since then, many modifications have been introduced to adjust for specific circumstances. This work discusses the induced dipole–induced dipole interaction between an ion and a neutral without a permanent dipole and introduces an anisotropic adjustment. A point polarizable ion model (PPI) and an...

Effect of Induced Dipole-Induced Dipole Potential and the Size of Colliding Particles on Ion-Quadrupolar Molecule Collision Rate Constants

Classical trajectory (Monte Carlo) calculation is used to calculate collision rate constants of ion-quadrupolar molecule interactions for the H¯+C2H2 system. The method presented here takes into account the effect of the induced dipole-induced dipole potential on ion-quadrupolar molecule collision rate constants. It is also assumed that the colliding particles have a d...

Equilibrium Constants of the Complexation of Molybdate Ion with para-Sulfonatocalix [4] arene in aqueous media

The complexation of sodium molybdate with para-sulfonatocalix [4] arene was studied in thetemperature range from 20 to 40 °C and pH = 5.8 by spectroscopic method in water solution. Thestability constants of complexes were calculated by the multiwavelength analysis of spectral datausing SQUAD program. The equilibrium constant, spectroscopic data, molar absorptivities andconcentrations of all spe...
