Pancreatitis in pregnancy

چکیده مقاله:

Abstract: Background and Aim: Prolonged use of tetracyclines, thiazides and steroids should be used during pregnancy. A differential diagnosis of pancreatitis should also be made in pregnant patients suffering from epigastric pain. This article aims to diagnose and treat pancreatitis during pregnancy and provides ideas for reducing mortality and adverse effects in mother and fetus.   Case Report: This article introduces a pregnant patient with acute pancreatitis. The patient is a 24-year-old woman with a first gestational age of 29-28 years, who has a history of three years of primary infertility following a polycystic ovary and has also developed hypothyroidism during pregnancy. In this patient, pancreatitis occurred in three months and serious and severe treatment - which included laparotomy - resulted in the rescue of the mother and the birth of a healthy baby.   Conclusion: It is suggested that in such suspicious cases, no hesitation should be given to performing a surgical laparotomy. It is also emphasized that the ideal treatment for acute pancreatitis during pregnancy will be medical treatment with intensive care, unless there is a doubt in the diagnosis or complications. The mortality rate of this complication during pregnancy has decreased in recent years.
