چکیده مقاله:

Zinc oxide thin films were deposited on soda-lime glass substrates from an aqueous zinccontaining complex by two-stage chemical deposition (TSCD) method. Longmuir adsorption model showed that the adsorption of atoms on the surface of the substrate was typically physical. The relation between the fractional coverage, θ, with the equilibrium constant of the adsorption reaction was nonlinear indicating that the adsorption was non-ideal. The percentage of porosity, 1-θ, of the thin layer was determined as a function of Zn2+ concentration of the solution. By application of XRD technique, it was shown that pure crystalline ZnO of controllable thickness could be deposited by TSCD method on the surface of the substrate. The procedure consisted of immersion into (a) cold Zn2+ complex containing solution and (b) hot water at 90, 95 and 98°C.

Kinetic and thermodynamic studies of adsorption of 4-chloro-2-nitrophenol on nano- Ti02

Adsorption capacity of 4-chloro-2-nitrophenol (4C2NP) onto nano-Ti02 from aqueous solutions wasinvestigated in a batch system by considering the effects of various parameters like contact time, nano-TiO2 dosage, initial pH and initial 4C2NP concentration. Optimum conditions for 4C2NP adsorptionwere found to be initial pH z 2, nano-TiO2 closer- 0.01 g and equilibrium time 1 h. The adsorptionkine...

Adsorption of 4-Chloro-2-nitrophenol onto Nano-ZnO

Nano-ZnO was employed for the adsorption of 4C2NP from aqueous solutions in batch equilibriumexperiments to investigate its adsorption properties. The quantity of 4C2NP adsorbed onto nano- ZnOsurface was measured by UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The effects of contact time, adsorbent dose, pH, andinitial concentration of 4C2NP were investigated. The adsorption found to be strongly influenced by all...

Theoretical thermodynamic study of CO and O2 Adsorption on Au14 Nano Cluster

The Density of State and the Natural Bond Orbital calculations were carried out to study theoxidation of CO on Au14 nano cluster through two different mechanisms and determining the bestmechanism for the reaction. Chemisorption of O2 and CO on the nano cluster led to change in energy, density of state and its thermodynamic properties. We calculated the energy band gap between thehighest occupied...

Adsorption Characteristics of Norfloxacin by Biochar Prepared by Cassava Dreg: Kinetics, Isotherms, and Thermodynamic Analysis

Biochars (BC) generated from biomass residues have been recognized as effective sorbents for organic compounds. In this study, biochars as adsorbents for the removal of norfloxacin (NOR) from aqueous solutions were evaluated. Biochars were prepared from cassava dregs at 350 °C, 450 °C, 550 °C, 650 °C, and 750 °C, respectively (labeled as BC350, BC450, BC550, BC650, and BC750). The results showe...
