Supervisory control of distributed DES with a global specification and local supervisors is a difficult problem. For global specifications the equivalent conditions for local control synthesis to equal global control synthesis may not be met. This paper formulates and solves a control synthesis problem for a generator with a global specification and with a combination of a coordinator and local...

in this thesis, a better reaction conditions for the synthesis of spirobarbiturates catalyzed by task-specific ionic liquid (2-hydroxy-n-(2-hydroxyethyl)-n,n-dimethylethanaminium formate), calcium hypochlorite ca(ocl)2 or n-bromosuccinimide (nbs) in the presence of water at room temperature by ultrasonic technique is provided. the design and synthesis of spirocycles is a challenging task becaus...

We exploited a solution-based route for preparation of Cu, Cu(2)O, Cu(3)N, and Cu(2)S nanocrystals, that is, direct thermal decomposition of copper salts (Cu(NO(3))(2), CuSO(4)) in octadecylamine (ODA) solvent, which is a novel and ingenious chemical process.

A simple and efficient Pd/Al2O3-NR-RD catalyst was prepared by depositing palladium on a shape controllable Al2O3-NR support through a two-step process that involves hydrothermal synthesis of Al2O3-NRs followed by reductive-deposition of palladium. This catalyst showed high activity in the catalytic formylation of amines by CO2-H2 under mild conditions with up to 96% yield.

A dual-templated approach for the controllable synthesis of metal cluster complexes is described. By using an acetylide-containing anion with specific geometry as a central template and a macrocyclic coordinative compound as a peripheral one, two multinuclear silver-acetylide cluster-encapsulated supramolecular boxes were synthesized.

In the present work, we introduce a new approach for the synthesis of asymmetric particles made from electrically conducting polyaniline-alginate hydrogels by using bipolar electrochemistry. Such an intrinsic break of symmetry allows the soft beads to exhibit tunable motion at the air/water interface when loaded with ethanol due to controllable directed release of the solvent.

We report a facile one-pot synthesis of hierarchically porous scaffolds, with independent control over nanoparticle mesoporosity and scaffold macroporosity. Our technique combines the chemistry of mesoporous silica nanoparticles with the control afforded by dynamic templating of surfactant mesophases. These materials are readily functionalizable and allow controllable spatial variation in macro...

The in situ formation of sub-100 nm solid frameworks stabilized against dissolution by the addition of nanoseeds allows the facile and controllable synthesis of TiO(2) (anatase) mesocrystalline structures with spherical shape, mesoporosity and sizes between 50 and 70 nm. As an example of their multifunctionality, these structures show good capabilities for enzyme immobilization and adequate pho...

A new bacterial nitroreductase has been identified and used as a biocatalyst for the controllable reduction of a variety of nitroarenes with an electron-withdrawing group to the corresponding N-arylhydroxylamines under mild reaction conditions with excellent selectivity (>99%). This method therefore represents a green and efficient method for the synthesis of arylhydroxylamines.

A gas phase controlled graphene synthesis resembling a CVD process that does not critically depend on cooling rates is reported. The controllable catalytic CVD permits high quality large-area graphene formation with deft control over the thickness from monolayers to thick graphitic structures at temperatures as low as 750 degrees C.
