Background and Objective: There is relation between the rate of loading and arthrosis. Genu varum results in osteoarthritis. Knowing the changes of the affected biomechanical variables during landing result in fundamental understanding to prevent arthrosis in people with genu varum deformity. Hence, the purpose of this study was to compare the plantar flexor muscles activity with the ra...

Abstract The present review deals with the current scientific knowledge related ski jump landing. A specific focus is given on landing biomechanics, methods utilized for its analysis and injuries connected to phase. Despite demonstrated importance safety performance of jumpers, preparation are rarely investigated. In this paper, after having firstly described execution reason why important anal...

Due to the relative infancy of Parkour there is currently a lack of empirical evidence on which to base specific technique instruction upon. The purpose of this study was to compare the ground reaction forces and loading rates involved in two Parkour landing techniques encouraged by local Parkour instructors and a traditional landing technique recommended in the literature. Ten male participant...

Landing of an UAV is a most complicated and important operation for autonomous flight operations. Most of the UAVs are operate with external pilots. Nowadays it is essential to design the advance automatic landing control systems to reduce the work load of external pilots in the landing process of UAVs. In this paper various auto rectification landing systems using fuzzy logic has studied and d...

Numerous operations connected with beginning and ending of air transportation process are executed at the airport. Each of these may be important for the safety of air traffic. However, due to the severity, the most important are taking off and landing operations carried out on runways. In many airports, there exists a system of two intersecting runways. In this case, usually one of the runways...

Aims and background: Jumping and landing are common exercises in sports activities which are associated with injury of the anterior cruciate ligament. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of using a knee brace on peak ground reaction forces amplitudes, vertical loading rate, impulses in three dimensions and peak free moment values during landing in athletes with anterior cr...

We describe our work on multirotor UAVs and focus on our method for autonomous landing. The paper describes the design of our landing pad and its advantages. We explain how the landing pad detection algorithm works and how the 3D-position of the UAV relative to the landing pad is calculated. Practical experiments prove the quality of these estimations.

A three-dimensional phenomenological model was developed to describe the collective landing of bird flocks. The employed individual based model included the landscape (as an external field) and a continuous internal variable G, to characterize the landing intent of the birds. The birds' interaction with the landscape was coupled adaptively to their landing intent. During the flight, a sharp cro...

The landing gear of the aircraft is related to smooth take-off and aircraft, most basic guarantee ensure flight safety. Therefore, maintenance particularly important, technicians must do a good job in this area. In order improve quality work, paper summarizes common faults components, analyzes main reasons for failure, puts forward relevant solutions maintenance.

Autonomous rotorcrafts are required to operate in cluttered, unknown, and unstructured environments. Guaranteeing the safety of these systems is critical for their successful deployment. Current methodologies for evaluating or ensuring safety either do not guarantee safety or severely limit the performance of the rotorcrafts. Autonomous vehicles need to operate at their limits to effectively co...
