The aim of this paper is to present the new and interesting notionof ascending family of  $alpha $−n-norms corresponding to an intuitionistic fuzzy nnormedlinear space. The notion of best aproximation sets in an  $alpha $−n-normedspace corresponding to an intuitionistic fuzzy n-normed linear space is alsodefined and several related results are obtained.

In a fuzzy metric space (X;M; *), where * is a continuous t-norm,a locally fuzzy contraction mapping is de ned. It is proved that any locally fuzzy contraction mapping is a global fuzzy contractive. Also, if f satis es the locally fuzzy contractivity condition then it satis es the global fuzzy contrac-tivity condition.    

Fuzzy best simultaneous approximation of a finite number of functions is considered. For this purpose, a fuzzy norm on $Cleft (X, Y right )$ and its fuzzy dual space and also the  set of subgradients of a fuzzy norm are introduced. The $L$-fuzzy approximation operator associated with an $L$-fuzzy approximation space $(X,R)$ turns out to be a saturated $L$-fuzzy closure (interior) operator on a set $X$ precisely when the relation $R$ is reflexive and transitive. We investigate the relations between $L$-fuzzy approximation spaces and $L$-(fuzzy) topological spaces.

A new class of fuzzy closed sets, namely fuzzy weakly closed set in a fuzzy topological space is introduced and it is established that this class of fuzzy closed sets lies between fuzzy closed sets and fuzzy generalized closed sets. Alongwith the study of fundamental results of such closed sets, we define and characterize fuzzy weakly compact space and fuzzy weakly closed space.
