In recent years, Hyperthermia has been used as an emerging technique for cancer treatment, especially for localized tumors. One of the promising cancer treatment approaches is magnetic nanoparticle (MNPs) Hyperthermia. In this theoretical work, the temperature distribution of a common tumor over the different sizes of Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles, namely 25, 50, 100, and 200 nm, was stud...

The aim of this research is to elucidate the size effect of magnetic nanoparticles on the resultant magneto-dielectric properties of polymer nanocomposites at radio frequencies. The block copolymer of [styrene-b-ethylene/butylene-b-styrene] (SEBS) was utilized as a matrix for the templating of magnetic nanoparticles. Surfactant-modified iron oxide (Fe3O4) nanoparticles of various sizes were suc...

Nitric oxide (NO) has been implicated in large number of pathologies ad in normal physiological function of the brain. The aim of this study was to recognize the effect of Nitro-L-Arginine Methyl Ester mHC1 (NAME) and L-Arginine Ethyl Ester.HC1 (ARGININE) on reactivity of the central DA Dg receptor to agonist (Quinpirole) in rats. For this reason we have been used specific behavioural procedure...

Among a variety of hyperthermia methods, magnetic nanoparticle hyperthermia is a highly promising approach for its confined heating within the tumour. In this study we perform in vivo animal experiments on implanted prostatic tumours in mice to measure temperature distribution in the tumour during magnetic nanoparticle hyperthermia. Temperature elevations are induced by a commercially available...

We have developed a novel, highly sensitive, biosensing system for detecting methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). The system employs gold nanoparticles (AuNPs), magnetic nanoparticles (mNPs), and an electrochemical detection method. We have designed and synthesized ferrocene- and single-stranded DNA-conjugated nanoparticles that hybridize to MRSA DNA. Hybridized complexes are eas...

Background and Objective: L - Arginine is a semi-essential amino acid that affects some blood indices. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of supplementation of L - Arginine on plasma lipids, blood sugar and blood pressure in healthy subjects. Materials and Methods: This study was a randomized double-blind controlled clinical trial. A lot of, 56 male athletes wit...

An impedimetric biosensor based on PEGylated arginine functionalized magnetic nanoparticles for early detection of cervical cancer is reported. The cervical cancer cells could be selectively and sensitively detected down to 10 cells mL(-1) on the modified electrode, which is promising for advancement in clinical diagnosis and monitoring of tumors.
