This article investigates the existence of solutions to boundary value problems (BVPs) involving systems of first-order ordinary differential equations and two-point, periodic boundary conditions. The methods involve novel differential inequalities and fixed-point theory to yield new theorems guaranteeing the existence of at least one solution. AMS 2000 Classification: 34B15
In this work we obtain some new results concerning the existence of solutions to an impulsive first-order, nonlinear ordinary differential equation with periodic boundary conditions. The ideas involve differential inequalities and Schaefer's fixed-point theorem.
The present paper is devoted to the development of a kind of spectral meshless radial point interpolation (SMRPI) technique in order to obtain a reliable approximate solution for buckling of nano-actuators subject to different nonlinear forces. To end this aim, a general type of the governing equation for nano-actuators, containing integro-differential terms and nonlinear forces is considered. ...
In the paper a linear-quadratic optimization problem (LCTOR) with unseparated two-point boundary conditions is considered. To solve this problem is proposed a new sweep algorithm which increases doubles the dimension of the original system. In contrast to the well-known methods, here it refuses to solve linear matrix and nonlinear Riccati equations, since the solution of such multi-point optimi...
In this paper, we consider the multipoint boundary value problem for one-dimensional $p$-Laplacian dynamic equation on time scales. We prove the existence at least three positive solutions of the boundary value problem by using the Avery and Peterson fixed point theorem. The interesting point is that the non-linear term $f$ involves a first-order derivative explicitly. Our results ...
As we have seen in Chapter 2, the partition function of the Ising model on a planar graph G with positive boundary conditions is proportional to the even subgraph generating function ZG⇤(x), where G⇤ is the weak dual of G and x is the weight vector defined by the low-temperature expansion. Similarly, the partition function of the model with free boundary conditions is proportional to ZG(x), whe...
in this paper, the boundary-based estimation of pressure distribution in the cardiovascular system is investigated using two dimensional flow images. the conventional methods of non-invasive estimation of pressure distribution in the cardiovascular flow domain use the differential form of governing equations. this study evaluates the advantages of using the integral form of the equations in the...
In this article, we study sufficient conditions for existence and uniqueness of positive solutions to the following coupled system of fractional order differential equations with antiperiodic boundary conditions { cDαu(t)+ f (t,v(t), Dα−1v(t)) = 0, cDβ v(t)+g(t,u(t), Dβ−1u(t)) = 0, 0 < t < 1, u(0) = −u(1),v(0) = −v(1), Du(0) = −Dpu(1), Dv(0) = −Dqv(1), where 1 < α ,β 2,α − p 1,β − q 1 and 0 < p...
Existence and approximation of best proximity points is an interesting topic for which one can see [2, 3, 4, 6, 5] for more information. Another extension of Banach contraction principle was given by Nieto and Rodriguez-Lopez in partially ordered metric spaces [9]. They proved some fixed point theorems in partially ordered sets in order to show the existence and uniqueness for a first-order ord...
In this paper, we prove the existence of solutions for an anti-periodic boundary value problem of nonlinear impulsive fractional differential equations by applying some known fixed point theorems. Some examples are presented to illustrate the main results.
