introduction: the present study investigated the interactive effect of gabab receptors and extremely low frequency electromagnetic field (elf-emf) on foot shock-induced aggression in rats. methods: fifty adult male rats were randomly assigned into 10 groups. groups 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 were exposed to 50 hz, 500 µt elf-emf for 30 days 8h per day while the remaining groups (1, 3, 5, 7 and 9) were s...

Background and Objective: Diabetes mellitus appears in hyperglycemia mode and ulcers in extremities. Hyperglycemia can lead to impair wound healing in diabetic patients. Electromagnetic fields (EMF) with different intensities have distinctive effects on animal cells. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of low frequency electromagnetic field on wound healing in diabet...

Introduction: Access to modern methods for increasing the percentage of in vitro human and animal mature oocytes can be useful in the treatment of some forms of human infertility as well as proliferation of many domestic and wild animals which generation is endangered. Effect of low- frequency electromagnetic fields on in vitro growth and maturation of mouse oocytes is recently considered as a ...

Abstract—This paper deals with planar scanning technique of electromagnetic (EM) near-field (NF) emitted by electronic printed circuit boards (PCBs) fully in the time-domain (TD). The proposed EM scanning metrology is essentially based on the NF test bench available at the IRSEEM laboratory. It comprises motorized mechanical structures for moving the probe interconnected to electronic measureme...

This paper describes the principles of the a.c. field measurement technique, a non-contacting electromagnetic method of crack detection and sizing in metals. The development of the technique is covered, followed by examples of some of the many different applications the technique has been used for, including multi-sensor arrays for rapid manual inspection or for deployment by robotic manipulato...

We study theoretically a Fermi-Dirac atomic gas in a one-dimensional optical lattice coupled to a coherent electromagnetic field with a topologically nontrivial soliton phase profile. We argue that the resulting fractional eigenvalues of the particle number operator can be detected via light scattering. This could be a truly quantum mechanical measurement of particle number fractionalization in...

This paper aims to advance the field of nondestructive testing by eddy currents. It provides a mathematical and numerical framework for imaging small volume conductive inclusions of arbitrary shapes from electromagnetic induction data. The effect of measurement noise on the localization and characterization approach developed in this paper is investigated. Mathematics Subject Classification (MS...

B-H–curves are used for modeling ferromagnetic materials in connection with electromagnetic field computations. Starting from real–life measurement data, we present an approximation technique which is based on the use of spline functions and a data–dependent smoothing functional. It preserves physical properties, such as monotonicity, and is robust with respect to noise in the measurements.

In order to investigate the effect of an electromagnetic field and ultrasonic waves on the seed germination of Cuminum cyminum that two separate experiments using a completely randomized design with four replications was conducted at Seed Science and Technology Laboratory of Faculty Agricultural Sciences, the Shahed University of Tehran in 2012. In the first experiment, for the seeds of zero, 1...
