The aim of this paper is the study of a covering of a max-mingeneral fuzzy automaton by another, admissible relations, admissiblepartitions of a max-min general fuzzy automaton,$tilde{delta}$-orthogonality of admissible partitions, irreduciblemax-min general fuzzy automata. Then we obtain the relationshipsbetween them.

In formal language theory, we are mainly interested in the natural language computational aspects of ω-languages. Therefore in this respect it is convenient to consider fuzzy ω-languages. In this paper, we introduce two subclasses of fuzzy regular ω-languages called fuzzy n-local ω-languages and Buchi fuzzy n-local ω-languages, and give some closure properties for those subclasses. We define a ...

A deterministic finite automaton (DFA) A is called a cover automaton (DFCA) for a finite language L over some alphabet Σ if L = L(A) ∩ Σ≤l, with l being the length of some longest word in L. Thus a word w ∈ Σ∗ is in L if and only if |w| ≤ l and w ∈ L(A). The DFCA A is minimal if no DFCA for L has fewer states. In this paper, we present an algorithm which converts an n–state DFA for some finite ...

In the 1980’s Stallings [35] showed that every finitely generated subgroup of a free group is canonically represented by a finite minimal immersion of a bouquet of circles. In terms of the theory of automata, this is a minimal finite inverse automaton. This allows for the deep algorithmic theory of finite automata and finite inverse monoids to be used to answer questions about finitely generate...

Hyper-minimization aims to compute a minimal deterministic finite automaton (dfa) that recognizes the same language as a given dfa up to a finite number of errors. Algorithms for hyper-minimization that run in time O(n logn), where n is the number of states of the given dfa, have been reported recently in [Gawrychowski and Jeż: Hyperminimisation made efficient. Proc. Mfcs, Lncs 5734, 2009] and ...

We relate two measures of complexity of regular languages. The first is syntactic complexity, that is, the cardinality of the syntactic semigroup of the language. That semigroup is isomorphic to the semigroup of transformations of states induced by non-empty words in the minimal deterministic finite automaton accepting the language. If the language has n left quotients (its minimal automaton ha...

Constraint automaton is a formalism to capture the operational semantics of the channel based coordination language Reo. In general constraint automaton can be used as a formalism for modeling coordination of some components. In this paper we introduce a standard linear temporal logic and two fragments of it for expressing the properties of the systems modeled by constraint automata and show th...

In a recent article, Carrasco and Forcada (June 2002) presented two algorithms: one for incremental addition of strings to the language of a minimal, deterministic, cyclic automaton, and one for incremental removal of strings from the automaton. The first algorithm is a generalization of the “algorithm for unsorted data”—the second of the two incremental algorithms for construction of minimal, ...

The purpose of the present work is to introduce the concept of bifuzzy core of a fuzzy automaton, which induces a bifuzzy topology on the state-set of this fuzzy automaton. This is shown that this bifuzzy topology can be used to characterize the concepts such as bifuzzy family of submachines, bifuzzy separable family and bifuzzy retrievable family of a fuzzy automaton.
