OBJECTIVE To determine the most effective and biodegradable dispersant of spilled oil in water surrounding two Persian Gulf provinces. METHODS This study compared the effects of three dispersants, Pars 1, Pars 2, and Gamlen OD4000 on removal of oil in two Persian Gulf provinces' water. Overall, 16 stations were selected. Using the Well method, the growth rate of isolated bacteria and fungi wa...

in this paper, we formalize the menger probabilistic normed space as a category in which its objects are the menger probabilistic normed spaces and its morphisms are fuzzy continuous operators. then, we show that the category of probabilistic normed spaces is isomorphicly a subcategory of the category of topological vector spaces. so, we can easily apply the results of topological vector spaces...

in this paper, we introduce the  probabilistic normed groups. among other results, we investigate the continuityof inner automorphisms of a group and the continuity of left and right shifts in probabilistic group-norm. we also study midconvex functions defined  on probabilistic normed groups and  give  some results about locally boundedness of such  functions.

The aim of this paper is to illustrate the efficient solution of nonlinear optimization problems with joint probabilistic constraints by means of an SQP method. Here, the random vector is assumed to obey some multivariate Gaussian distribution. The numerical solution approach is applied to a renewable energy management problem. We consider a coupled system of hydro and wind power production use...

In this paper, we define the concepts of modified intuitionistic probabilistic metric spaces, the property (E.A.) and  the common property (E.A.) in   modified  intuitionistic probabilistic metric spaces. Then, by the commonproperty (E.A.), we prove some common fixed point theorems in modified intuitionistic Menger probabilistic metric spaces satisfying an implicit relation.

Probabilistic argumentation and neuro-argumentative systems offer new computational perspectives for the theory and applications of argumentation, but their principled construction involve two entangled problems. On the one hand, probabilistic argumentation aims at combining the quantitative uncertainty addressed by probability theory with the qualitative uncertainty of argumentation, but proba...

An accurate evaluation of the structural performance of reinforced concrete structural systems under seismic loading requires a probabilistic approach due to uncertainties in structural properties and the ground motion (referred to as basic uncertainties). The objective of this study is to identify and rank significant sources of basic uncertainties and structural components with respect to the...

A probabilistic inventory model for conditional credit period with exponential demand, non-zero lead time and multiple storage facility has been developed. The behaviour of total expected cost (TEC) has been examined and the use and application of the model is demonstrated with the help of a numerical example.
