The trafficking of synaptic proteins is unquestionably a major determinant of the properties of synaptic transmission. Here, we present a detailed analysis of the downregulation and intracellular trafficking of the cocaine- and amphetamine-sensitive dopamine transporter (DAT), a presynaptic plasma membrane protein responsible for the regulation of extracellular DA concentrations. Using PC12 cel...

Impulsivity, the predisposition to act without regard for negative consequences, is a characteristic of several psychiatric disorders and is thought to result in part from genetic variation in the untranslated region of the dopamine transporter (DAT) gene. As the exact link between genetic mutations and impulsivity has not been established, we used oculomotor behavior to characterize rhesus mon...

Background and purpose : Human visceral leishmaniasis (HVL) is endemic in several foci in IRAN, such as Ardebil and Fars provinces (in North western and southern parts of IRAN) and in some regions as sporadic. Visceral leishmaniasis in Iran is Mediterranean type and the causative agent is Leishmania infantum and its main reservoir is dog. Material and methods: In this study direct agglutin...

Anhidrotic (hypohidrotic) ectodermal dysplasia associated with immunodeficiency (EDA-ID; OMIM 300291) is a newly recognised primary immunodeficiency caused by mutations in NEMO, the gene encoding nuclear factor kappaB (NF-kappaB) essential modulator, NEMO, or inhibitor of kappaB kinase (IKK-gamma). This protein is essential for activation of the transcription factor NF-kappaB, which plays an im...

The NEMO collaboration is looking to measure neutrinoless double beta decay down to a lower limit of 0.1 eV for the effective neutrino mass. The NEMO 3 detector is now operating in the Fréjus Underground Laboratory. The expected performance and the data of the first runs are presented here.

We discuss the performances of a trigger implemented for the planned neutrino telescope NEMO. This trigger seems capable to discriminate between the signal and the strong background introduced by atmospheric muons and by the β decay of the 40 K nuclei present in the water. The performances of the trigger, as evaluated on simulated data are analyzed in detail.

The dopamine transporter (DAT) mediates reuptake of dopamine from the synaptic cleft and is a target for widely abused psychostimulants such as cocaine and amphetamine. Nonetheless, little is known about the cellular distribution and trafficking of natively expressed DAT. Here we use novel fluorescently tagged cocaine analogs to visualize DAT and DAT trafficking in cultured live midbrain dopami...

Recently Network Mobility(NEMO) is being concerned as new mobility issue. Lots of NEMO issues are already being touched in IETF NEMO WG but the solution is still premature especially to the Route Optimization (RO). NEMO has several problem spaces that need RO such as nested tunnels problem. Unfortunately, there is no solution that can be universally applied as one for all that results in suppor...

Foot-and-mouth disease is a highly contagious viral illness of wild and domestic cloven-hoofed animals. The causative agent, foot-and-mouth disease virus (FMDV), replicates rapidly, efficiently disseminating within the infected host and being passed on to susceptible animals via direct contact or the aerosol route. To survive in the host, FMDV has evolved to block the host interferon (IFN) resp...
