Abstract In this study, we evaluate the variation of work function phosphorene during thermal oxidation at different temperatures. The ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy results show an N-shaped behaviour that is explained by process and dangling-to-interstitial conversion elevated exfoliation degree x-ray confirm formation native oxides in top-most layer passivates material. Ex-situ XPS re...

Recent progress in understanding thermal transport complex crystals has highlighted the prominent role of heat conduction mediated by interband tunneling processes, which emerge between overlapping phonon bands (i.e., with energy differences smaller than their broadenings). These processes have recently been described different ways, relying on Wigner or Green-Kubo formalism, leading to apparen...

The time-temperature effects of laser radiation exposure are investigated as a function of wavelength. Here, we report the thermal response of bulk tissue as a function of wavelength from 700 to 1064 nm. Additionally, Monte Carlo simulations were used to verify the thermal response measured and predict damage thresholds based on the response.

This paper deals with the determination of displacement function and thermal stresses of a finite length isotropic functionally graded hollow cylinder subjected to uniform temperature field. The solution of the governing thermoelastic equation is obtained, as suggested by Spencer et al. for anisotropic laminates.  Numerical calculations are also carried out for FGM (Functionally graded material...

In this paper, the basic constitutive equations and equations of motion are derived to describe the behavior of thermoelastic porous piezoelectric medium by using Biot’s theory and the theory of generalized thermoelasticity with on relaxation time (Lord-Shulman). The electrical enthalpy density function is derived in the general coordinates. Also, clear definitions for the poroelastic modulus, ...
