in this paper we investigate a new notion of bases in hilbert spaces and similarto fusion frame theory we introduce fusion bases theory in hilbert spaces. we also introducea new de nition of fusion dual sequence associated with a fusion basis and show that theoperators of a fusion dual sequence are continuous projections. next we de ne the fusionbiorthogonal sequence, bessel fusion basis, hilbe...

RanBP1, a velocardiofacial syndrome/DiGeorge syndrome candidate gene, is expressed in the frontonasal processes, branchial arches, aortic arches, and limb buds. At these sites, RanBP1 apparently coincides with neural crest-derived mesenchymal cells. In addition, RanBP1 is expressed in the forebrain as well as in hindbrain regions previously associated with crest-derived mesenchymal cells.

Myocardin and the myocardin-related transcription factors (MRTFs) A and B act as coactivators for serum response factor, which plays a key role in cardiovascular development. To determine the functions of MRTF-B in vivo, we generated MRTF-B mutant mice by targeted inactivation of the MRTF-B gene. We show that mice homozygous for an MRTF-B loss-of-function mutation die during mid-gestation from ...

The Mdm2 oncoprotein acts as the principal negative regulator of p53 activities and is essential for its control during mouse early development, at least before implantation. We analyzed Mdm2 expression between 7.5 and 9 days post-coitum (dpc) by whole-mount in situ hybridization and report here a novel expression pattern during neural crest development. At 7.5 dpc Mdm2 becomes preferentially e...

Conventional cytogenetic is the standard technique for detection of Philadelphia (Ph) chromosome in chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). Evaluation of abelson murine leukemia/breakpoint cluster region (abl/bcr) fusion using dual-colour fluorescence in situ hybridization (D-FISH) is an alternative approach allowing rapid and reliable detection of the disease. We employed the technique of interphase D...

Introduction: Long term complications of hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection include fibrosis, cirrhosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma and although the disease is treatable with the newly introduced direct acting antivirals, but factors such as drug resistance, viral genotype and adverse effects can limit the effectiveness of therapy. Therefore, development of effective, safe and affordable proph...

The dogfish (Squalus acanthias) can make rapid adjustments to gill acid-base transfers to compensate for internal acidosis/alkalosis. Branchial Na+/H+ exchange (NHE) has been postulated as one mechanism driving the excretion of H+ following acidosis. We have cloned gill cDNA that includes an open reading frame coding for a 770-residue protein most homologous (approximately 71%) to mammalian NHE...

the use of organophosphorus hydrolase (oph) enzyme to degrade chemical warfare agents is one of the most frequently used decontamination methods. oph is a ~36 kda homodimeric metalloprotein that is found in the membrane of flavobacterium sp. strain atcc 27551 and brevundimonas diminuta mg and is capable of hydrolyzing a wide range of oxon and thion , such as paraoxon and parathion. oph gene ( o...

Short term effects of insulin on total brain and branchial Na+K+ ATPase, Ca2+ ATPase and Na+, K+ and Ca2+ ions were investigated in A. testudineus. The increase in brain Ca2+ ATPase after alloxan treatment may account for an increased amount of intracellular calcium required for biochemical events taking place inside the cells. Branchial Na+K+ATPase was significantly stimulated while Ca2+ ATPas...

Respiratory pumping in Aplysia consists of transient, synchronous pumping actions of the gill, siphon, mantle shelf, and parapodia. This behavior has previously been shown to be driven by a network of coupled interneurons in the abdominal ganglion, the R25 and the L25 cells. We describe here a pair of electrically coupled cells, the R20 cells, which when active can initiate respiratory pumping ...
