recently, phiangsungnoen et al. [j. inequal. appl. 2014:201 (2014)] studied fuzzy mappings in the framework of hausdorff fuzzy metric spaces.following this direction of research, we establish the existence of fixed fuzzy points of fuzzy mappings. an example is given to support the result proved herein; we also present a coincidence and common fuzzy point result. finally, as an application of ou...

this study investigates the conceptual metaphors of happiness in a representative corpus of modern persian. making use of persian linguistic database, we sampled a corpus of contemporary written texts, to represent modern colloquial persian; then we tried to extract the relevant conceptual metaphors of happiness. the sample corpus contains 14 texts written by contemporary iranian writers. analy...

The purpose of this paper is to study the strong convergence of an implicit iteration process with errors to a common fixed point for a finite family of asymptotically pseudocontractive mappings and nonexpansive mappings in normed linear spaces. The results in this paper improve and extend the corresponding results of Xu and Ori, Zhou and Chang, Sun, Yang and Yu in some aspects.

We consider the concept of fuzzy quasi-contractions initiated by '{C}iri'{c} in the setting of fuzzy metric spaces and establish fixed point theorems for quasi-contractive mappings and for fuzzy $mathcal{H}$-contractive mappings on M-complete fuzzy metric spaces in the sense of George and Veeramani. The results are illustrated by a representative example.

The potency of naked DNA vaccines is limited by their inability to amplify and spread in vivo. VP22, a HSV-1 protein, has demonstrated the remarkable property of intercellular transport and may thus provide a unique approach for enhancing vaccine potency. Therefore, we created a novel fusion of VP22 with a model Ag, human papillomavirus type 16 E7, in a DNA vaccine that generated enhanced sprea...

Executable schema mappings between XML schemas are essential to support numerous data management tasks such as data exchange, data integration and schema evolution. The novelty of this paper consists in a method for automatic generation of automappings (automorphisms) from key constraints and value dependencies over XML schemas, and designing algebraic operations on mappings and schemas represe...

BioPortal is a repository for biomedical ontologies that also includes mappings between them from various sources. Considered as a whole, these mappings may cause logical errors, due to incompatibilities between the ontologies or even erroneous mappings. We have performed an automatic evaluation of BioPortal mappings between 19 ontology pairs using the mapping repair systems of LogMap and Agree...

An experiment was conducted to characterize the cassava germplasm of Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, Plant Genetic Resources Research Institute (CSIR-PGRRI), Ghana help in effective conservation. A total 210 accessions being conserved at field genebank CSIR – PGRRI were used October, 2014 data collected 2015 on five morphological traits comprising plant height, growth type, heig...

In this paper a new class of mappings, known as locally λ-strongly φ-accretive mappings, where λ and φ have special meanings, is introduced. This class of mappings constitutes a generalization of the well-known monotone mappings, accretive mappings and strongly φ-accretive mappings. Subsequently, the above notion is used to extend the results of Park and Park, Browder and Ray to locally λ-stron...

In 1940 S.M. Ulam proposed the famous Ulam stability problem. In 1941 D.H. Hyers solved the well-known Ulam stability problem for additive mappings subject to the Hyers condition on approximately additive mappings. In this paper we introduce generalized additive mappings of Jensen type mappings and establish new theorems about the Ulam stability of additive and alternative additive mappings.
