An important aspect of spectral image analysis is identification of materials present in the object or scene being imaged. Since multi-spectral or hyper spectral imagery is generally low resolution, it is possible for pixels in the image to contain several materials. A paramount issue in image processing area is to design and implement an efficient segmentation and classification techniques dem...

A simple on-chip procedure for testing embedded RF blocks is presented. It is based on the detection and spectral analysis of the two-tone response envelope of the Device Under Test (DUT). The main non-linearity specifications of the DUT can be easily estimated from the envelope signal without the need of expensive RF test equipment.

The 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP)’s Long Term Evolution (LTE) standards define the next major step in the evolution of cellular systems towards higher data rates, low latency, and greater spectral efficiency. This occurs in the context of a System Architecture Evolution (SAE) that specifies a packetswitched IP architecture for both voice and data transmission. We present a simulatio...

Compared to its 2D counterpart, the selective 1D NOESY experiment offers greatly simplified spectral interpretation and is invaluable to the structure elucidation of small-to-medium sized molecules, although its application is limited to well-resolved resonances only. The doubly selective 1D TOCSY-NOESY experiment allows the 1D NOESY experiment to be extended to resonances within overlapped spe...

This paper derives a general expression for the mean square error in estimating the fundamental frequency of a multiharmonic signal from a nite sequence of noisy measurements The distinguishing feature of this expression is that it is applicable at values of signal to noise ratio SNR within the threshold region in contrast to earlier expressions the Cramer Rao bounds that are valid only at high...

fluorescence chemical sensors for the highly sensitive and selective determination of pb2+ , hg2+, co2+ and fe3+ ions in aqueous solutions are described. the ion sensing system was prepared by incorporating lipophilic ligand (l) as a neutral ion-selective fluoroionophore in the plasticized pvc membrane containing sodium tetraphenylborate or potasium tetrakis (p-chlorophenyl) borate as a liphoph...

The combination of conformation selective far-IR/UV double resonance spectroscopy with Born-Oppenheimer molecular dynamics (BOMD) simulations is presented here for the structural characterization of the Ac-Phe-Pro-NH2 peptide in the far-infrared spectral domain, i.e. for radiation below 800 cm(-1). Two conformers have been shown to be present in the experiment, namely a conformer with a γ-turn ...

A series of Fe3O4 supported on mesoporous FDU-12 silica systems were prepared by the hydrothermal conditions. The surface properties of the functionalized catalyst were analyzed by a series of characterization techniques like FTIR, XRD, N2 adsorption–desorption and TEM. XRD and adsorption–desorption analysis shows that the mesostructure of FDU silica remains intact after Fe3O4 modifications, wh...

Despite obvious improvements in spectral resolution at high magnetic field, the detection of 13C labeling by 1H-[13C] NMR spectroscopy remains hampered by spectral overlap, such as in the spectral region of 1H resonances bound to C3 of glutamate (Glu) and glutamine (Gln), and C6 of N-acetylaspartate (NAA). The aim of this study was to develop, implement, and apply a novel 1H-[13C] NMR spectrosc...
