in recent years, the problem of selecting and evaluating the suppliers in supply chain management has aroused considerable interest in business firms. owing to the development of information systems, reaching an appropriate decision for adopting discrete methods is a need. the researchers intend to present a new model in this paper as a contributing factor in the grey environment in which the r...

The competition increscent urgency in the global economy causes many organizations focus more on novel management ideas in constructing, delivery services and their productions. In current conditions, supply chain and the importance of a suitable performance evaluating system in order to understand the current condition and program for its improvement, has a very special importance in creating ...

We analyze a multiple-stage supply chain model of a seasonal product with pricing decisions. We develop closed-form expressions for the optimal expected profits of different stages. The results enable us to quantify the loss of supply chain profits if uncoordinated pricing decisions are made by supply chain agents.

⎯There have been many studies on two-stage supply models. Because supply chains are increasingly more complicated, this study considers the three-stage supply chain configurations which involve multiple companies at each stage and each company at the upstream stages can supply two or more customers. The coordination mechanisms for the members along the chain are achieved in the following two as...

In this paper, a bi-objective model is presented for dynamic and integrated network design of a new entrant competitive closed-loop supply chain. To consider dynamism and integration in the network design problem, multiple long-term periods are regarded during planning horizon, so that each long-term period includes several short-term periods. Furthermore, a chain to chain competition between t...

Supply chain planning models under disruptions are extensively studied in literature. In this paper, we consider a multi-stage supply chain (re)planning problem. We propose a new approach with an explicit connection of performance impact assessment and supply chain plan reconfiguration issues with consideration of the duration of disruptions and the costs of recovery. This approach is based on ...

Pork can be regarded as an important source for food borne salmonellosis. Salmonella bacteria can be introduced and spread in every stage of the pork supply chain and cause a risk for food safety. The objective of this research is to gain insight into the epidemiological and economic effects of different strategies in the finishing, transport, lairage and slaughtering stages to improve the food...

supply chain network design decisions are among the strategic decisions of supply chain management which play significant role on the efficient performance of the supply chain. however, there are two challenging factors which may have great impact on the supply chain performance. these factors are on the one hand disruptions and their attendant damages and on the other hand uncertain nature of ...

We investigate a two-stage serial supply chain with stationary stochastic demand and fixed transportation times. Inventory holding costs are charged at each stage, and each stage may incur a consumer backorder penalty cost, e.g. the upper stage (the supplier) may dislike backorders at the lower stage (the retailer). We consider two games. In both, the stages independently choose base stock poli...

Decision-making needs information. Enterprises in a supply chain make daily operating decisions on the basis of available information of demand and supply. The behaviors of supply chain members would be different under information sharing than otherwise. Demand-side information sharing has been intensively explored. However, supply-side information sharing has not been extensively investigated....
