In this paper, we present a new computational method to solve Volterra integral equations of the first kind based on Bernstein polynomials. In this method, using operational matrices turn the integral equation into a system of equations. The computed operational matrices are exact and new. The comparisons show this method is acceptable. Moreover, the stability of the proposed method is studied.

The ranking of Critical Success Factors (CSF) of Healthcare Management Information System (HMIS) help practitioners to identify vital factors from the trivial many that are essential for its success. The objective of this study is to rank the CSF of HMIS using a suitable Multi-Criteria Decision Making technique (MCDM). Here, Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is the MCDM used to determine the rel...

Strategic decision analysis on Supply Chain Management (SCM) involves tangible and intangible factors and it needs to be evaluated by interdependent multiple criteria. Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is a practical and popular decision-making tool for SCM. Interdependency among criteria becomes a source of difficulty in directly applying AHP to various SCM decision problems. Hence, the manager...

Variational Bayesian matrix factorization (VBMF) efficiently approximates the posterior distribution of factorized matrices by assuming matrix-wise independence of the two factors. A recent study on fully-observed VBMF showed that, under a stronger assumption that the two factorized matrices are column-wise independent, the global optimal solution can be analytically computed. However, it was n...

BACKGROUND Patient involvement is widely acknowledged to be a valuable component in health technology assessment (HTA) and healthcare decision making. However, quantitative approaches to ascertain patients' preferences for treatment endpoints are not yet established. The objective of this study is to introduce the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) as a preference elicitation method in HTA. Based...

the construct of self-efficacy has received increasing attention in research over the past two decades. many studies have been carried out 1.3 significance of the study this study has pedagogical implications since improving students’ self- efficacy and autonomy is important for promoting actual performance on classroom academic tasks. in academic settings, it has been shown that self-effi...

The excitability level of pyramidal neurons in the basolateral amygdala (BLA) is greatly increased following muscarinic receptor activation, an effect associated with an increased rate of action potential firing and reduction of the afterhyperpolarization (AHP). We impaled BLA pyramidal neurons in slices of rat ventral forebrain with a single microelectrode to examine the currents underlying th...
