Employing the notions of the strong $L$-topology introduced by Zhangand the $L$-frame introduced by Yao  and the concept of $L$-enrichedtopological system defined in the present paper, we constructadjunctions among the categories {bf St$L$-Top} of strong$L$-topological spaces, {bf S$L$-Loc} of strict $L$-locales and{bf $L$-EnTopSys} of $L$-enriched topological systems. All of theseconcepts are ...

in this paper we introduce the concept of entropy operator for continuous systems of finite topological entropy. it is shown that it generates the kolmogorov entropy as a special case. if $phi$ is invertible then the entropy operator is bounded with the topological entropy of $phi$ as its norm.

The topological semantics for modal logic interprets a standard modal propositional language in topological spaces rather than Kripke frames: the most general logic of topological spaces becomes S4. But othermodal logics can be given a topological semantics by restricting attention to subclasses of topological spaces: in particular, S5 is logic of the class of almost discrete topological spaces...

Furstenberg and Katznelson applied methods of topological dynamics to Ramsey theory, obtaining a density version of the Hales-Jewett partition theorem. Inspired by their methods, but using spaces of ultrafilters instead of their metric spaces, we prove a generalization of a theorem of Carlson about variable words. We extend this result to partitions of finite or infinite sequences of variable w...

Following the point-set lattice-theoretic (poslat) approach to topology of S. E. Rodabaugh [11], we introduced a more general way to do categorical (fuzzy) topology under the name of categorically-algebraic (catalg) topology [12], which unified many lattice-valued topological settings, and provided the means of intercommunication between different such frameworks. Moreover, motivated by the res...

We consider shift spaces in which elements of the alphabet may overlap nontransitively. We define a notion of entropy for such spaces, give several techniques for computing lower bounds for it, and show that it is equal to a limit of entropies of (standard) full shifts. When a shift space with overlaps arises as a model for a discrete dynamical system with a finite set of overlapping neighborho...

Various definitions of directional derivatives in topological vector spaces are compared. Directional derivatives in the sense of G~teaux, Fr6chet, and Hadamard are singled out from the general framework of cr-directional differentiability. It is pointed out that, in the case of finite-dimensional spaces and locally Lipschitz mappings, all these concepts of directional differentiability are equ...

Let I be a finite or infinite index set, let X be a topological space, and let Yi, φNi i∈I be a family of FC-spaces. For each i ∈ I, letAi : X → 2i be a set-valued mapping. Some new existence theorems of maximal elements for a set-valued mapping and a family of set-valued mappings involving a better admissible set-valuedmapping are established under noncompact setting of FC-spaces. Our results ...

A graph G on a topological space X as its set of vertices is clopen if the edge relation of G is a clopen subset of X2 without the diagonal. We study clopen graphs on Polish spaces in terms of their finite induced subgraphs and obtain information about their cochromatic numbers. In this context we investigate modular profinite graphs, a class of graphs obtained from finite graphs by taking inve...

The original motivation of this paper, as presented in [15], was to compute the dual space of a lattice of subsets of some free monoid A. According to StonePriestley duality, the dual space of a lattice can be identified with the set of its prime filters, but it is not always the simplest way to describe it. Consider for instance the Boolean algebra generated by the sets of the form uA, where u...
