We address the problem of organizing a set of shared data into the memory modules of a Distributed Memory Machine (DMM) located in one node of a communication network. The goal is to speed-up read operations per formed by independent users from different nodes of the network. We present a new, more efficient version of the method by Andreev et al ’99.

This communication describes the design of bifunctional VO(x)/TS-1 catalysts with enhanced redox and acidic character via doping SO(4)(2-) and PO(4)(3-) for selective oxidation of methanol to dimethoxymethane. Redox sites enable the production of formaldehyde, while acidic sites favor the condensation of formaldehyde to DMM.

BACKGROUND Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic, neurodegenerative inflammatory disease that affects approximately 400,000 Americans, the majority of whom are female. Although MS prevalence is higher among females, males are more likely to have a more progressive clinical course. For both genders, use of disease-modifying medications (DMMs) in the clinical management of MS is pivotal in alterin...

Multi-UAV passive localization via received signal strength (RSS) is extremely important for wide applications such as rescue and battlefield combat. However, the energy consumption of UAVs a key issue in this UAVs-enabled application. Usually, communication overhead plays an role consumption. To address problem, we design two distributed methods multi-UAV system with considerable performance u...

OBJECTIVE Sulforaphane (SFN) has been reported to regulate signaling pathways relevant to chronic diseases. The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of SFN treatment on signaling pathways in chondrocytes and to determine whether sulforaphane could block cartilage destruction in osteoarthritis. METHODS Gene expression, histone acetylation, and signaling of the transcription factors ...

We address the problem of organizing a set T of shared data into the memory modules of a Distributed Memory Machine (DMM) in order to minimize memory access connicts (i.e. memory contention) during read operations. Previous solutions for this problem can be found as fundamental subprocedures of the PRAM simulation methods on DMM presented during the last years. The eeciency of such solutions re...

INTRODUCTION Recent studies have revealed that rapamycin activates autophagy in human chondrocytes preventing the development of osteoarthritis (OA) like changes in vitro, while the systemic injection of rapamycin reduces the severity of experimental osteoarthritis in a murine model of OA in vivo. Since the systemic use of rapamycin is associated with numerous side effects, the goal of the curr...

We evaluated the role of the CXCL12/CXCR4 (C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 12/C-X-C chemokine receptor type 4) axis in aggrecanase-mediated cartilage degradation, and explored the underlying mechanism in a post-traumatic osteoarthritis rat model. Expression of CXCL12/CXCR4 and ADAMTS-5 was analyzed in the knees of osteoarthritic and non-arthritic rats using Western blot, ELISA, immunohistochemistr...

We present new laser ablation ICP-MS trace element concentration data for 28 elements in 97 mid-ocean ridge basalt (MORB) glasses that cover all major spreading centers as well as Tl concentration data for all mineral phases in five lherzolites from the Lherz massif, France. The ratio between the elements thallium (Tl) and cerium (Ce) is nearly constant in MORB, providing evidence that the depl...

OBJECTIVE To establish an unbiased, 3-dimensional (3-D) approach that quantifies subchondral bone plate (SBP) changes in mouse joints, and to investigate the mechanism that mediates SBP sclerosis at a late stage of osteoarthritis (OA). METHODS A new micro-computed tomography (micro-CT) protocol was developed to characterize the entire thickness of the SBP in the distal femur of a normal mouse...
