The program K FIT has been modi ed to have the ability to extract the locations and strengths of isolated steering, quadrupole and skew quadrupole errors. The mathematics behind the wave analysis is presented along with example analyses of data.

Considering SL(2,R) skew-product maps over circle rotations, we prove that a renormalization transformation associated with the golden mean α* has nontrivial periodic orbit of length 3. In this paper, we study skew-symmetric 2-{v; r, k;λ} supplementary difference sets related to a certain class of complex spherical 2-codes. A classification of such supplementary difference sets is completed for v ≤ 51.

A class of skew products over irrational rotations of the circle is defined which contains some systems which have strange nonchaotic attractors. The global attractor of these systems is characterized: it lies between an upper semi-continuous curve and a lower semi-continuous curve.
