Background and Purpose: Anterior shoulder dislocation is the most common major joint dislocation. In most cases, this dislocation is being relocated in emergency departments. Routinely, pre and post reduction radiographs are performed. This study was done to determine the necessity of radiographs in the emergency department for management of patients with suspected anterior shoulder dislocati...

BACKGROUND The aim of this study was to identify the factors that affect the progress of a traumatic anterior dislocation of the shoulder. METHODS Two hundred and thirty-eight patients (246 shoulders) with a traumatic anterior dislocation were enrolled in this study. The mean age at the time of surgery was 25 years (range, 14 to 47 years). There were 214 men and 24 women. RESULTS One hundre...

In this paper, the regularities of dislocation pattern formation in single layer heterostructures with low lattice mismatch (f < 1%) are reviewed. The main attention is focused on the recently suggested mechanisms of dislocation nucleation and multiplication. An evolution of dislocation pattern from regular flat misfit dislocation network to the dense three-dimensional one was found to proceed ...

Dislocation junctions and jogs in a free-standing FCC thin film have been studied using 3dimensional dislocation dynamics simulations. Due to the unconstrained motion of surface nodes and dislocation annihilation at the free surface, junctions and jogs are unstable except for some uncommon conditions. If the film thickness is thin enough for a significant portion of dislocation network to be te...

This study aimed to evaluate the shoulder dislocation following tramadol-induced seizure and its potential difference with other shoulder dislocations. We evaluated six cases that used tramadol tablets and some of them had a history of seizure. All of the cases had shoulder dislocation. According to the findings, tramadol use and tramadol-induced seizure may increase the risk of shoulder disloc...

conclusions surgical treatment for patellar dislocation is indicated primarily in case of relevant concomitant injuries such as osteochondral fractures, and secondarily for recurrent dislocations. evidence acquisition authors searched the medline library for studies on both surgical and conservative treatment for patellar dislocation and patellofemoral instability. additionally, the reference l...
