Introduction: Electromagnetic field emitted by laptops are known as extremely low frequency (ELF) Waves. The aim of this study was to investigate the intensity of electric and magnetic field with extremely low frequency emitted by common laptops. . Material and Method: Intensity of electric and magnetic field were measured on four sides of 40 common by used laptop at the distance of 30, 60 and...

Background: Extremely low frequency (0-300 Hz) fields from power lines, electronic equipment and medical devices, have been reported to produce various biological effects. Global system for mobile (GSM) is most largely used in everybody's life. This system utilizes a low frequency band as well as a high frequency range of electromagnetic field. This study investigated the effects of 217 Hz elec...

Animals from a wide range of taxa have been shown to possess magnetic sense and use magnetic compasses to orient; however, there is no information in the literature on whether lizards have either of these abilities. In this study, we investigated the behavioral responses of a diurnal agamid lizard (Pogona vitticeps) to a sinusoidal extremely low-frequency electromagnetic field (ELF-EMF; 6 and 8...

In this study, the influence of power frequency electromagnetic field on body mass was investigated. Experiment was performed on male rats during the first three months of their postnatal life. The obtained results indicated to small changes in body mass and significant alterations of mass gain in exposed animals, compared to controls.
