Despite many benefits of agricultural biomass utilization as an energy source, there are certain disadvantages such the possible high emission nitrogen oxides (NOx). NOx represents one key challenges for use a fuel. The experimental denitrification chamber was used to evaluate impact initial NO content, NH3:NO molar ratio, flue gas temperature, and temperature difference between two sections on...

The homogeneous (gas-phase) and heterogeneous (catalytic) ignition of fuel-lean premixtures is investigated analytically and numerically in two-dimensional laminar channel-flow configurations with uniform incoming properties and isothermal catalytic walls. First-order matched activation energy asymptotics are employed, along with a one-step catalytic reaction and a one-step large activation ene...

The catalytic combustion of methane/air mixtures is investigated experimentally and numerically at gas turbine relevant conditions (inlet temperatures up to 873 K, pressures up to 15 bar and spatial velocities up to 3 × 106 h−1). Experiments are performed in a sub-scale test rig, consisting of a metallic honeycomb structure with alternately coated (Pd-based catalyst) channels. Simulations are c...

Versatile superstructures composed of nanoparticles have recently been prepared using various disassembly methods. However, little information is known on how the structural disassembly influences the catalytic performance of the materials. Here we show how the disassembly of an ordered porous La0.6Sr0.4MnO3 perovskite array, to give hexapod mesostructured nanoparticles, exposes a new crystal f...

Reaction behaviors and kinetics of catalytic oxidation of toluene with different feed flows over Pt/Zr(x)-HMS catalysts with Si/Zr ratio equal to 5, 10, 20 and 35 were investigated over a wide temperature range (200 – 500 oC). Results show that Pt/Zr(x)-HMS performs more easily toluene oxidation. The kinetic data were fitted by the Power-law and Mars–van Krevelen kinetic models. The fitting res...
