The theory of differential and integral equations of fractional order has recently received a lot of attention and now constitutes a significant branch of nonlinear analysis. Numerous research papers and monographs have appeared devoted to differential and integral equations of fractional order cf., e.g., 1–6 . These papers contain various types of existence results for equations of fractional ...
Since various problems in science and engineering fields can be modeled by nonlinear Volterra-Fredholm integral equations, the main focus of this study is to present an effective numerical method for solving them. This method is based on the hybrid functions of Legendre polynomials and block-pulse functions. By using this approach, a nonlinear Volterra-Fredholm integral equation reduces to a no...
A new computational method based on Haar wavelets is proposed for solving multidimensional stochastic Itô-Volterra integral equations. The block pulse functions and their relations to Haar wavelets are employed to derive a general procedure for forming stochastic operational matrix of Haar wavelets. Then, Haar wavelets basis along with their stochastic operational matrix are used to approximate...
We consider numerical solutions of a class of nonlinear (nonstandard) Volterra integral equations. We first prove the existence and uniqueness of the solution of the Volterra integral equation in the context of the space of continuous funtions over a closed interval. We then use one point collocation methods and quadrature methods with a uniform mesh to construct solutions of the nonlinear VIE....
In 1982, Dubois and Prade [4, 5] first introduced the concept of integration of fuzzy functions. Kaleva [7] studied the measurability and integrability for the fuzzy set-valued mappings of a real variable whose values are normal, convex, upper semicontinuous, and compactly supported by fuzzy sets in Rn. Existence of solutions of fuzzy integral equations has been studied by several authors [1, 2...
In this work we are concerned with the numerical solution of a nonlinear weakly singular Volterra integral equation with a nonsmooth solution. We investigate the application of product integration methods and a detailed analysis of the Trapezoidal method is given. In order to improve the numerical results we consider extrapolation procedures and collocation methods based on graded meshes. Sever...
we reduce the two phase stefan problem with kinetic to a system of nonlinear volterra integral equations of second kind and apply newton's method to linearize it. we found product integration solution of the linear form. sufficient conditions for convergence of the numerical method are given and their applicability is illustrated with an example.
we develop and apply the product integration method to a large class of linear weakly singular volterra systems. we show that under certain sufficient conditions this method converges. numerical implementation of the method is illustrated by a benchmark problem originated from heat conduction.
Using the fundamental solution of the heat equation, we give an expression of the solutions to two-dimensional initial-boundary value problems of the Navier-Stokes equations, where the vorticity is expressed in terms of a Poisson integral, a Newtonian potential, and a single layer potential. The density of the single layer potential is the solution to an integral equation of Volterra type along...
In this paper, existence theorems for the fuzzy Volterra-Fredholm integral equations of mixed type (FVFIEMT) involving fuzzy number valued mappings have been investigated. Then, by using Banach's contraction principle, sufficient conditions for the existence of a unique solution of FVFIEMT are given. Finally, illustrative examples are presented to validate the obtained results.
