We consider the effect of a long range, flavor changing tensor interaction of possible gravitational origin. Neutrino mixing experiments provide the most sensitive probe to date for such forces—testing the equivalence principle at levels below 10 −20. Here we justify and generalize a formalism for describing such effects. The constraints from neutrino mixing experiments on gravitationally induc...

I describe a unique, 20-year-long timing program for the binary pulsar B0655+64, the stalwart control experiment for measurements of gravitational radiation damping in relativistic neutron-star binaries. Observed limits on evolution of the B0655+64 orbit provide new bounds on the existence of dipolar gravitational radiation, and hence on violation of the Strong Equivalence Principle.

It is often believed that de Finetti’s coherence principle naturally leads, in the finite case, to the Kolmogorov’s probability theory of random phenomena, which then implies Bell’s inequality. Thus, not only a violation of Bell’s inequality looks paradoxical in the Kolmogorovian framework, but it should violate also de Finetti’s coherence principle. Firstly, we show that this is not the case: ...

We investigate CP-violation effects in the bosonic sector of the Standard Model (SM) with two Higgs doublets. First we calculate the mass eigenstates of the physical neutral Higgses for small but nonzero CP-violation parameter ξ∗, and then a “forward-backward” asymmetry Afb for the decay H → W+W−Z that would be a signal of CP-violation. Although the effects are in general small (Afb = Γfb/Γ ∼ O...

Non-standard physics which can be described by effective four fermion interactions may be an additional source of CP violation in the neutrino propagation. We discuss the detectability of such a CP violation at a neutrino factory. We assume the current baseline setup of the international design study of a neutrino factory (IDS-NF) for the simulation. We find that the CP violation from certain n...

Improved terrestrial experiment to test the equivalence principle for rotating extended bodies is presented, and a new upper limit for the violation of the equivalence principle is obtained at the level of 1.6×10, which is limited by the friction of the rotating gyroscope. It means the spin-gravity interaction between the extended bodies has not been observed at this level. Typeset using REVTEX

In this work we propose an extended formulation for the interaction between neutrinos and gravitational fields. It is based on the parametrized post-Newtonian aproach, and includes a violation of the universality of the gravitational interaction which is non diagonal in the weak flavor space. We find new effects that are not considered in the standard scenario for violation of the equivalence p...

The so called ”Principle of the self-consistency” for space-time models with causality violation, which was firstly formulated by I.D.Novikov, is discussed for the test particle motion and for test scalar field. It is shown that the constraints, which provide the self-concistensy of test particle motion have pure geometrical (topological) nature. So, the recent statement that ”The Principle of ...

Bekenstein has shown that violation of Weak Equivalence Principle is strongly supressed in his model of charge variation. In this paper, it is shown that nuclear magnetic energy is large enough to produce observable effects in Eötvös experiments.
