in this paper, an effective and simple numerical method is proposed for solving systems of integral equations using radial basis functions (rbfs). we present an algorithm based on interpolation by radial basis functions including multiquadratics (mqs), using legendre-gauss-lobatto nodes and weights. also a theorem is proved for convergence of the algorithm. some numerical examples are presented...

In the present paper, we develop a modified pseudospectral scheme for solving an optimal control problem which is governed by a switched dynamical system. Many real-world processes such as chemical processes, automotive systems and manufacturing processes can be modeled as such systems. For this purpose, we replace the problem with an alternative optimal control problem in which the switching t...

This paper presents a new numerical method to solve time fractional Fokker-Planck equation. The space dimension is discretized to the Gauss-Lobatto points, then we apply pseudo-spectral successive integration matrix for this dimension. This approach shows that with less number of points, we can approximate the solution with more accuracy. The numerical results of the examples are displayed.

the main purpose of this article is to present an approximate solution for the two-dimensional nonlinear volterra integral equations using legendre orthogonal polynomials. first, the two-dimensional shifted legendre orthogonal polynomials are defined and the properties of these polynomials are presented. the operational matrix of integration and the product operational matrix are introduced. th...

this paper gives an ecient numerical method for solving the nonlinear systemof volterra-fredholm integral equations. a legendre-spectral method based onthe legendre integration gauss points and lagrange interpolation is proposedto convert the nonlinear integral equations to a nonlinear system of equationswhere the solution leads to the values of unknown functions at collocationpoints.

Different discretization and trust-region methods are compared for the low-thrust fuel-optimal trajectory optimization problem using successive convex programming. In particular, differential integral formulations of adaptive pseudospectral Legendre–Gauss–Radau method, an arbitrary-order Legendre–Gauss–Lobatto technique based on Hermite interpolation, a first-order-hold considered. The number p...

Fractional directional integrals are the extensions of the Riemann-Liouville fractional integrals from oneto multi-dimensional spaces and play an important role in extending the fractional differentiation to diverse applications. In numerical evaluation of these integrals, the weakly singular kernels often fail the conventional quadrature rules such as Newton-Cotes and Gauss-Legendre rules. It ...

Legendre-Gauss-Lobatto (LGL) grids play a pivotal role in nodal spectral methods for the numerical solution of partial differential equations. They not only provide efficient high-order quadrature rules, but give also rise to norm equivalences that could eventually lead to efficient preconditioning techniques in high-order methods. Unfortunately, a serious obstruction to fully exploiting the po...

Aunified framework is presented for the numerical solution of optimal control problems using collocation at Legendre–Gauss (LG), Legendre–Gauss–Radau (LGR), and Legendre–Gauss–Lobatto (LGL) points. It is shown that the LG and LGR differentiation matrices are rectangular and full rank whereas the LGL differentiation matrix is square and singular. Consequently, the LG and LGR schemes can be expre...
