0 h(y(s)) ds, t ≥ 0, mapping a function x into a function y, when the underlying function space D is endowed with the Skorohod M1 topology. We apply this integral representation with the continuous mapping theorem to establish heavy-traffic stochastic-process limits for many-server queueing models when the limit process has jumps unmatched in the converging processes, as can occur with bursty a...

it is well known that a microperiodic function mapping a topological group into reals, which is continuous at some point is constant. we introduce the notion of a microperiodic multifunction, defined on a topological group with values in a metric space, and study regularity conditions implying an analogous result. we deal with vietoris and hausdorff continuity concepts.stability of microperiodi...

The purpose of this note is to prove a version of the Trace Theorem for domains which are locally subgraph of a Hölder continuous function. More precisely, let η ∈ C0,α(ω), 0 < α < 1 and let Ωη be a domain which is locally subgraph of a function η. We prove that mapping γη : u 7→ u(x, η(x)) can be extended by continuity to a linear, continuous mapping from H(Ωη) to Hs(ω), s < α/2. This study is...

in an earlier work we showed that for ordered fields f not isomorphic to the reals r, there are continuous 1-1 unctions on [0, 1]f which map some interior point to a boundary point of the image (and so are not open). here we show that over closed bounded intervals in the rationals q as well as in all non-archimedean ordered fields of countable cofinality, there are uniformly continuous 1-1 func...

This paper studies stability for parametric mathematical programs with geometric constraints. We show that, under the no nonzero abnormal multiplier constraint qualification and the second-order growth condition or second-order sufficient condition, the locally optimal solution mapping and stationary point mapping are nonempty-valued and continuous with respect to the perturbation parameter and...

It is known that the mapping class group of a compact surface S, MCG(S), acts ergodically with respect to symplectic measure on each symplectic leaf of the Poisson moduli space of flat SU(2)-bundles over S, X(S, SU(2)). In our study of how individual mapping classes act on X, we show that ergodicity does not restrict to that of cyclic subgroups of MCG(S1,1), for S1,1 a punctured torus. The acti...

In this paper we introduce the cone bounded linear mapping and demonstrate a proof to show that the cone norm is continuous. Among other things, we prove the open mapping theorem and the closed graph theorem in TVS-cone normed spaces. We also show that under some restrictions on the cone, two cone norms are equivalent if and only if the topologies induced by them are the same. In the sequel, we...

In this Article, we give a simple criterion for the regularity of a tri-linear mapping. We provide if f : X × Y × Z −→ W is a bounded tri-linear mapping and h : W −→ S is a bounded linear mapping, then f is regular if and only if hof is regular. We also shall give some necessary and sufficient conditions such that the fourth adjoint D^∗∗∗∗ of a tri-derivation D is again tri-derivation.

Existing environment mapping techniques include spherical mapping and cube mapping. These techniques have inherent flaws that cause sampling issues and aliasing. Continuous cube mapping is offered as an alternative environment mapping approach that effectively folds the cube onto the sphere, providing a better parameterization of cube mapping. We provide a hardware implementation.

Let X be a dcpo and let L be a complete lattice. The family σL(X) of all Scott continuous mappings from X to L is a complete lattice under pointwise order, we call it the L-fuzzy Scott structure on X. Let E be a dcpo. A mapping g : σL(E) −> M is called an LM-fuzzy possibility valuation of E if it preserves arbitrary unions. Denote by πLM(E) the set of all LM-fuzzy possibility valuations of E. T...
