Nicodemi and Prisco recently proposed a model for X-chromosome inactivation in mammals, explaining this phenomenon terms of spontaneous symmetry-breaking mechanism [{\it Phys. Rev. Lett.} 99 (2007), 108104]. Here we provide mean-field version their model.
