The last decade has witnessed dramatic growth in the number of reactions catalyzed by gold complexes because of their powerful soft Lewis acid nature. In particular, the gold-catalyzed activation of propargylic compounds has progressively emerged in recent years. Some of these gold-catalyzed reactions in alkynes have been optimized and show significant utility in organic synthesis. Thus, apart ...

Marine derivatives are of great pharmaceutical interest as inhibitory compound and search of bioactive compounds from Marine organism which is relatively new to medicinal chemistry. Our main aim in the study is to screen possible inhibitors against CCR5 which acts as co-receptor M-tropic HIV-1, through virtual screening of 122 Marine derived compounds from various organisms known to have biolog...

A practical aminocyclization of 1,6-enynes with a wide variety of substituted anilines, including N-alkyl anilines, has been achived by using cationic [JohnPhosAu(MeCN)]SbF6 as a general purpose catalyst. The resulting adducts can be easily converted into polycyclic compounds by palladium- and gold-catalyzed reactions.

The use of gold nanoparticles coated with an organic monolayer of thiol for application in chemiresistive sensors was initiated in the late 1990s; since then, such types of sensors have been widely pursued due to their high sensitivities and reversible responses to volatile organic compounds (VOCs). However, a major issue for chemical sensors based on thiol-capped gold nanoparticles is their po...

in the present work, a simple and sensitive method was developed for determination of morphine and heroin using gold nanoparticles as resonance rayleigh scattering (rrs) and colorimetric technique’s probe. synthesized gold nanoparticles by sodium citrate reduction method have a negative charge layer on their surfaces because of self-assembled citrate anions on their surface. binding of morphin...

Background and purpose: Gold is one of the biochemical compounds in the human body, the effects of which on the activities of some organs has been studied by some researchers. Islam prohibits the use of gold for men, so, this review study investigated the effect of gold on male reproductive system. Materials and methods: Valid electronic databases were searched using the keywords associated ...

It has long been established by Khan that the superoxide anion, O(2) (-), generates singlet oxygen, O(2) (1)Delta(g), during dismutation. Auranofin, gold-phosphine thiols, beta-Carotene, and metal-sulfur compounds can rapidly quench singlet O(2). The quenching of the O(2) (1)Delta(g), which exists at 7752 cm(-1) above the ground state triplet, may be due to the direct interaction of the singlet...

In order to obtain a better understanding of short-range (SR) and long-range (LR) nanoparticle (NP) interactions during the self-assembly of dodecanethiol-coated Au NPs in toluene via drop drying, we have investigated the dependence of the island density, scaled island-size distribution (ISD), and scaled capture-zone distribution (CZD) on coverage, deposition flux, and NP size. Our results indi...
