The purpose of this paper is to survey some of the highlights of computational fluid dynamics as an emerging branch of aeronautical science, and to identify several remaining unsurmounted challenges. Prior to the advent of the computer there was already in place a rather comprehensive mathematical formulation of fluid mechanics. This had been developed by elegant mathetical analysis, frequently...
this paper gives a short survey of some of the known results generalizing the theorem, credited to i. schur, that if the central factor group is finite then the derived subgroup is also finite.

in this paper, after reviewing some results in minimal space, some new results in this setting are given. we prove a generalized form of the fan-kkm typetheorem in minimal vector spaces. as some applications, the open type of matching theorem and generalized form of the classical kkm theorem in minimal vector spaces are given.
it is well known that every (real or complex) normed linear space $l$ is isometrically embeddable into $c(x)$ for some compact hausdorff space $x$. here $x$ is the closed unit ball of $l^*$ (the set of all continuous scalar-valued linear mappings on $l$) endowed with the weak$^*$ topology, which is compact by the banach--alaoglu theorem. we prove that the compact hausdorff space $x$ can ...
in this paper, we introduce the cone normed spaces and cone bounded linear mappings. among other things, we prove the baire category theorem and the banach--steinhaus theorem in cone normed spaces.
Trailing-edge serrations are used as means to reduce aerofoil broadband self-noise in various industrial applications. However, a reliable prediction of the reduced noise level has not been established date. In this paper, authors suggest that Amiet’s theory can be accurately predict sound radiated from serrated trailing edges. A plausible explanation how classical theory, originally derived no...
In the present paper, we study some properties of fuzzy norm of linear operators. At first the bounded inverse theorem on fuzzy normed linear spaces is investigated. Then, we prove Hahn Banach theorem, uniform boundedness theorem and closed graph theorem on fuzzy normed linear spaces. Finally the set of all compact operators on these spaces is studied.
One-dimensional isoperiodic classical systems have been first analyzed by Abel. Abel’s characterization can be extended for singular potentials and potentials which are not defined on the whole real line. The standard shear equivalence of isoperiodic potentials can also be extended by using reflection and inversion transformations. We provide a full characterization of isoperiodic rational pote...
Flow past a line vortex in a simple perfect fluid or superfluid gives rise to a transverse Magnus force that is given by the well known Joukowski lift formula. The problem of generalising this to multiconstituent superfluid models has been controversial since it was originally posed by the work of Iordanski in the context of the Landau 2-constituent model for 4 He at finite temperature. The pre...
