We report the genome sequence of a novel iflavirus recovered from the transcriptome of a colony of the brown marmorated stink bug, Halyomorpha halys. The genome is 9,263 nucleotides (nt) and contains an open reading frame (ORF) encoding a 3,017-amino-acid polyprotein.

We report the characterization of human papillomavirus (HPV) subtype 72b of the genus Alphapapillomavirus isolated from an oral rinse sample of a healthy woman. The HPV72b L1 open reading frame (ORF) was 90.2% identical to that of HPV72, indicating a subtype close to the border of a novel HPV type.

The nucleotide sequence of a 2,146 bp portion of the Anacystis nidulans (Synechococcus PCC6301) genome has been determined. This region contains an open reading frame (ORF) of 392 codons, whose predicted protein sequence shows partial homology to those of E. coli phoM and envZ. We report here the first complete open reading frame (ORF) genome sequence of Xiburema virus (XIBV), that of strain BE AR362159, isolated from mosquitoes (Sabethes intermedius) in Sena Madureira, Acre state, northern Brazil. All genes showed similarities with those belonging to members of the family Rhabdoviridae.
