In these times of omnipresent electronic devices, the ways of consuming information are changing and so too are the expectations of customers. Documentation and processing of pub-lishers' data, however, are lagging behind. Let's assume an accounting professional is working for a leading consultancy and is responsible for certifying tax returns for an international customer. In the future, the p...

The emergence of stacks as a hardware device in stack machines implies the recognition of the importance of using stacks in different computer applications and the need to make use of them in others. This paper uses stacks to solve the sorting problem. Two stack-based sorting algorithms are introduced. The first is based upon sorting by the insertion technique, whereas the second is based upon ...

reservoir characterization plays an important role in different parts of an industrial project. the results from a reservoir characterization study give insight into rock and fluid properties which can optimize the choice of drilling locations and reduce risk and uncertainty. delineating hydrocarbon bearing zones within a reservoir is the main objective of any seismic reservoir characterization...

In stack and queue layouts the vertices of a graph are linearly ordered from left to right, where each edge corresponds to an item and the left and right end vertex of each edge represents the addition and removal of the item to the used data structure. A graph admitting a stack or queue layout is a stack or queue graph, respectively. Typical stack and queue layouts are rainbows and twists visu...

Normal Incidence Point (NIP) wave tomography inversion has been recently developed to generate a velocity model using Common Reflection Surface (CRS) attributes, which is called the kinematic wavefield attribute. In this paper, we propose to use the model based Common Diffraction Surface (CDS) stack method attributes instead of data driven Common Reflection Surface attributes as an input data p...

Powered by Semantic Web technologies, the Linked Data paradigm aims at weaving a globally interconnected graph of raw data that transforms the ways we publish, retrieve, share, reuse, and integrate data from a variety of distributed and heterogeneous sources. In practice, however, this vision faces substantial challenges with respect to data quality, coverage, and longevity, the amount of backg...

Recent work on weighted-pushdown systems shows how to generalize interprocedural-dataflow analysis to answer “stack-qualified queries”, which answer the question “what dataflow values hold at a program node for a particular set of calling contexts?” The generalization, however, does not account for precise handling of local variables. Extended-weighted-pushdown systems address this issue, and p...

Recently, we have been witnessing huge advancements in the scale of data we routinely generate and collect in pretty much everything we do, as well as our ability to exploit modern technologies to process, analyze and understand this data. The intersection of these trends is what is called, nowadays, as Big Data Science. Cloud computing represents a practical and cost-effective solution for sup...

In this paper we address the problem of solving parity games over the configuration graphs of bounded phase multi-pushdown systems. A non-elementary decision procedure was proposed for this problem by A. Seth. In this paper, we provide a simple and inductive construction to solve this problem. We also prove a non-elementary lower-bound, answering a question posed by A.Seth.
