In this paper, we formulate the definition of compatible mappings of type (I) and (II) in intuitionistic fuzzy metric spaces and prove a common fixed point theorem by using the conditions of compatible mappings of type (I) and (II) in complete intuitionistic fuzzy metric spaces.
