We de ne a Grothendieck topology on the category of schemes whose associated sheaf theory coincides in many cases with the Zariski topology. We also give some indications of possible advantages this new topology has over the Zariski topology.

در پایان مقاله on the discrete conley index in the invariant subspace نوشته andrzej szy...

The concept of an M-approximative system is introduced. Basic properties of the category of M-approximative systems and in a natural way defined morphisms between them are studied. It is shown that categories related to fuzzy topology as well as categories related to rough sets can be described as special subcategories of the category of M-approximative systems. Keywords— Approximative operator...

the paper sets forth in detail categorically-algebraic or catalg foundations for the operations of taking the image and preimage of (fuzzy) sets called forward and backward powerset operators. motivated by an open question of s. e. rodabaugh, we construct a monad on the category of sets, the algebras of which generate the fixed-basis forward powerset operator of l. a. zadeh. on the next step, w...

In this paper, we introduce Inverse topology in a BL-algebra A and prove the set of all minimal prime filters of A, namely Min(A) with the Inverse topology is a compact space, Hausdorff, T0  and T1-Space. Then, we show that Zariski topology on Min(A) is finer than the Inverse topology on Min(A). Then, we investigate what conditions may result in the equivalence of these two topologies. Finally,...

Let G = (V,E) be a locally finite graph, i.e. a graph in which every vertex has finitely many adjacent vertices. In this paper, we associate a topology to G, called graphic topology of G and we show that it is an Alexandroff topology, i.e. a topology in which intersec- tion of every family of open sets is open. Then we investigate some properties of this topology. Our motivation is to give an e...

Considering a commutative unital quantale L as the truth value table and using the tool of L-generalized convergence structures of stratified L-filters, this paper introduces a kind of fuzzy upper topology, called fuzzy S-upper topology, on L-preordered sets. It is shown that every fuzzy join-preserving L-subset is open in this topology. When L is a complete Heyting algebra, for every completel...

In this paper we introduce a new definition of a lattice fuzzy topology which is a generalization of Lowen’s fuzzy topology and show that the category of Lowen’s fuzzy topological spaces is a bireflective full subcategory of the category of lattice fuzzy topological spaces.

We generalize the Baire Category Theorem to the Borel and difference hierarchies, i.e. if Γ is any of the classes Σξ , Π 0 ξ , Dη(Σ 0 ξ) or Ďη(Σ 0 ξ) we find a representative set PΓ ∈ Γ and a Polish topology τΓ such that for every A ∈ Γ̌ from some assumption on the size of A ∩ PΓ we can deduce that A \ PΓ is of second category in the topology τΓ. This allows us to distinguish the levels of the B...
