ABSTRACT The first carboxylate reductase from Trametes versicolor was identified, cloned, and expressed in Escherichia coli. The enzyme reduces aromatic acids such as benzoic acid and derivatives, cinnamic acid, and 3-phenylpropanoic acid, but also aliphatic acids such as octanoic acid are reduced. GRAPHICAL ABSTRACT
This article reports on a novel biocatalytic method for the synthesis of both enantiomers lisofylline based Trametes versicolor laccase, TEMPO as redox mediator and stereocomplementary recombinant alcohol dehydrogenases biocatalysts.
Background and Objectives: Laccase is the most abundant member of protein family that catalyzes the oxidation of substituted phenols. Laccases are used as biocatalysts for decolorization and bleaching in dye industries, detoxification in environment, and juice clarification in food industries. The present study aimed at producing recombinant laccase, purifying with high yield and fold, and char...
A standard draft genome sequence of the white rot saprotrophic fungus Trametes hirsuta 072 (Basidiomycota, Polyporales) is presented. The genome sequence contains about 33.6 Mb assembled in 141 scaffolds with a G+C content of ~57.6%. The draft genome annotation predicts 14,598 putative protein-coding open reading frames (ORFs).
Mediator-less, direct electro-catalytic reduction of oxygen to water by bilirubin oxidase (Myrothecium sp.) was obtained on anthracene-modified, multi-walled carbon nanotubes. H2O2 was found to significantly and irreversibly affect the electro-catalytic activity of bilirubin oxidase, whereas similar electrodes comprised of laccase (Trametes versicolor) were reversibly inhibited.
The first report of a biocatalytic regioselective oxidative mono-cleavage of dialkenes was successfully achieved employing a cell-free enzyme preparation from Trametes hirsuta at the expense of molecular oxygen. Selected reactions were performed on a preparative scale affording high to excellent conversions and chemoselectivities.
The key to obtaining an optimum performance of an enzyme is often a question of devising a suitable enzyme and optimisation of conditions for its immobilization. In this study, laccases from the native isolates of white rot fungi Fomes fomentarius and/or Trametes versicolor, obtained from Czech forests, were used. From these, cross-linked enzyme aggregates (CLEA) were prepared and characterised...
Artocarpus hirsutus Lam.,(Wild jack) belonging to the family Moraceae a large evergreen tree up to 70m height, found up to an altitude of 1200M in evergreen India. The wood is straight blackish brown in color; it is very strong tree and has main advantage of lightness. It is used for the treatment of ulcers, diarrhea and pimples. The present study includes Pharmacognostical studies of the bark ...
